Really!? you want to do this trip in Fcar?..
A Jeep will be nicer, some roads need to be in correct conditions, the big Corniche and others roads needs to be better conditions.

Concerning boat, normally doors are closed, no access for public.

Why not Tuscany? Ideal fot F car, roads, hotels, parking etc..and Maranello, museum's are not so far.

I am thinking of doing a once in a lifetime European road trip in my own FCar.

So I would have to ship the FCar to Europe. So the starting and ending points of the trip need to be by a deep water port.

What do you think of this itinerary? Google Maps says it is a 19 hour drive.

I am thinking of doing a one month drive. So I imagine I drive for two hours, then spend a few days in a small town, then drive another hour or two, then spend a few days.

Thank you. The trip will not be for this year or probably not even next year.

I have a question about this picture. I imagine there are many beautiful small town centers like this. Can I just park my FCar in these places, and go have a drink and a meal with my wife? Is it legal to park in these places? Is it safe?

    Bonjour, bonjour!
Absolutely legal, this is a small town, and full of shops very artistic. Pézenas. Near Bézier, Montpellier france.

Bigger towns is better to see if it s legal or not.

Another question: On this road, do hotels usually provide affordably priced, safe overnight parking?

Yes normally you have a lot of offers, good hotels with parking. Some hotels do not included parking in their prices and many of hotels are not in charge of responsibility in case of damage.

Another way is to take a room in a house, parking is ok without charge. Sometimes you can have great surprise, breakfast near swimming pool, etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I love this stretch. You are right. People drive like crazy on that autostrada. I have has about 270 KPH on some of the long legs racing a RS6, both arriving Monaco for dinner. What an experience.

Man, the idea is very exciting for me, sitting in California. But for some reason my wife isn't enthusiastic about it at all. It's partly because she thinks my FCars are loud and uncomfortable. But this sounds like a trip of a life time. Take a month off and drive through these beautiful roads. Maybe I will do it in a couple of years.

    Sam,
I think your wife is correct.

Personally, I would love to have a 500 fiat cabriolet in" Riva " edition for Tuscany. But is not important, in reality, I want to spend my time with my wife.
