These mid 80s 911s are great cars and this is an amazing example!!! Love the specs and especially the interior. If I did not already have an '86 DP cabriolet, I would be all over this. GLWTS

The OP/Ad car immediately reminded me of the b+b Porsches of the 70s, one of the early companies that would create whatever you wanted that the factory didn't provide.
And then, there's the DP............ first car that scared the hell out of me. Didn't know they made a cabriolet.

were "factory turbo look" cars actual turbo body cars/chassis with a smaller engine installed or did the factory modify the bodies after?

They were factory widebody cars with a n/a 3.2 motor, instead of the f/i 3.3. Factory meaning the car also had the turbo brakes and turbo suspension.

What is the black in the wheel wells, paint or some other type of coating? Does not appear original.

It’s factory. Factory did this quit a bit. Just black paint on top of the texture that porsche sprays.

Interesting. I understand that the turbo's, and turbo-look, had the black in the wheel wells over the base color. They must have changed their procedures after 85' as my '87 M491 is not nearly as 'neat' at that, i.e. no masking and not nearly as uniform or extensive. Was told by a nationally recognized expert that Porsche just <paraphrasing> 'stuck the paint gun in there and waved it around a bit'. No two were the same.

    Nice looking car. GLWS

Leather looks non-original. Matte finish, too soft looking (original German leather was thicker) and telltale wrinkles on sides.
