We were telling him so, he just wouldn't listen. The LF's 1:19.7 will be topped only by the next hypercar.

The Senna is an Ultimate Series McLaren, think LaFerrari level, costing nearly one million. The Pista is just the hard core version of the 488.

The 488 Pista will beat the F12 TDF Fiorano times for sure I don't believe what Ferrari posts. As for the Laferrari, I still think it will at least match it. Time will tell

?? we know already the final price?

i think Pista will not be more than 10% over the GT2RS MSRP.
i think Pista will be slower. (in reality (not factory timing...)
    i hope Pista will be faster. because a GT2RS i didn´t got.
at the end i know: Pista will be more emotional to drive, to track and to own.

the rs is £227k with the WP pack, there are basically no other cost options
I strongly suspect a pisa spec'd nicely is going to be nearer £300k, but if it's not then that's a good thing :)

Two observations from the website video:

    - The carbon rims do show an interior protective coating.
    - The animation does illustrate the the rear diffuser is part of the "rear bumper" - which is standard carbon fiber.

If there is a coating it needs to withstand 1,600F brake temperatures. The Ford wheels have a ceramic material sprayed on the back of the spokes and the inner barrel of the wheel to combat the heat problem.
It would be interesting to know what Ferrari chose for their heat solution on the carbon wheels...

still i don´t get why P cars are so cheap in UK. compared to EU.
that could be also the reason why UK get less GT/RS cars compared to same sized markets within EU it steems.

    GER incl. 19% VAT:
    GT2RS 285.000 base
    (488 GTB is 210.000 base)
    i guess Pista 260.000 base

options will be more expensive at the Pista
but CXX, PTS, WP is also not cheap....
    i stuck to my +-10% GT2RS range

Just talked to my dealer who is at show. Base price, options list, LE version info, etc. still not known, all will be sent to dealers sometime this month. Only good news he had was, I am officially confirmed on the top of the list for the first car :D

At first you were adamant that the Pista (which you thought would be called GTO) would match the LaFerrari's Fiorano laptime. Now that Ferrari themselves have dismissed that (nearly 2 seconds is a huge difference), you say that know better than the people who 've built all these cars? Okay, this is not funny anymore, you are delusional. Also, time won't tell. These are the definitive Fiorano laptimes and no one else bar Ferrari tests over there in order for that to change.

The Pista is more powerful, lighter and with a better layout (no silly rear engine placement). There is no reason for the GT2 to be quicker. By the way, the Pista is priced at £252,000 before options in the UK, while the GT2 RS goes for £207,500.

correction.....I "WANTED" it to be called the GTO. Big difference then from being adamant.

I don't know more than Ferrari BUT I do know more than you.....

do you think it's possible that it'll knock the gt2 off the #1 spot and beat the 6:47 ring time? that'd be quite something.

the maximum premium i'm prepared to pay for a Pista will be around ~50k, we'll see what happens when the first cars are delivered!

Weight should be similar as the Pista's weight is dry and the GT2RS is wet weight. Both cars will have similar power but people been saying the GT2RS has underrated their power as usual, so we will have to see how accurate the Pista's power figures are. I predict the GT2RS will be faster but the Pista is more of an experience.

You were adamant about the Pista matching the LF laptime, which it clearly doesn't.
Also, you can't know what I know and what I don't.
This is getting silly, I won't go down that slippery slope. It's clear for everyone to see who was wrong in his predictions.
    Over and out.

I don't regard the Ring as a reliable metric. Too many variables and bad tarmac. I expect the Pista to be quicker on proper tracks.
