GREAT color! n Congratulations and WELCOME!
Congrats on the car. is yours already on the list? https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/posts/145741183/ best Jurgen
Added my car to the list, thanks Jurgen. All fluids changed and undertray is done! Really digging the camlock quarter turns I added to fasten it all together. Ready to hit the road to Blackhawk Museum tomorrow for this: http://blackhawkmuseum.org/event/ferrari-alfa-romeo-cars-coffee/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I would be careful with a plate of that size because it might reduce the cooling of the engine quite significantly, even with those vents.
I head my doubt too, bu itt actually cools better if you have the right air flow. Bell bloke als put in a floor pan and measured the temps and the results were quite surprising. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/increasing-flat-floorpan-undertray-area.440830/
It's all a turbulent mess back there without the pan. I wonder how much air it actually gets stock... But with the smooth pans upfront, air is clinging to it and now gets scooped right into the engine bay with this new rear pan.
One picture from today, met two other Mondial owners. Allen S's black T next to me. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice to meet you too Allen! Forgot to post this. Added a drain valve in the front with nipple so I can easily drain without making a mess. The engine block side was a disaster because everything would clash into the exhaust header so I got this valve with banjo bolt, its super stout! It's a quarter turn lever, just flip it and out it comes, no more coolant flying everywhere... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Discovered the Mondial has power locks, didn't know that since there's no lock button like modern cars Haha. Decided to fiddle with the linkage as to why I can't lock the passenger side. Got it working from the inside and electrically from the driver's lock but still can't get it to lock with the key on the pass side... Replaced the moisture shield though, old one was hacked on with a variety of double side, black duct, and some purple tape. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is the Fumoto F106SX, I got mine off Amazon but you can get them all over the internet. Prior to this I had a silly M14 to NPT adapter - 45deg NPT coupler - to petcock stack, looked ridiculous... Wish I took a photo of that.
Super gimmicky but I like it haha, Romanee Conti halotron fire extinguisher. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've seen that most cars of this era have single sided ignition keys. Anyone know why mine is double sided?
when it comes to these older cars.... when in doubt ... swap it out.. will save you Soooo many headaches down the road
Just got back from Italy and did the factory tour. Been busy busy here with a brake job and piecing together my own coilover set. Waiting for the last shock and springs to arrive for final fit check and install. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
