Did the D Type actually sell? Various sources list it as a $9.8M high bid.

365 BB (with Classiche) sells for $401,000 with BP.

Pre-sale estimate was $450,000 to $550,000 before BP. In 2016 high bid on same car was $460,000 and turned down.

Low KM's and all the documentation including Massini report. Only negative is it's not the original color.

While not a front engine V-12 this is an important car to any Ferrari collector. Prices are definitely coming down.

I was watching live and perhaps briefly it said sold on the screen which I thought odd considering ten Holder bought the gavel down quickly as it wentt 9.5, 9.6, 9.7, 9.8 and then final warning. Bang. Neither comment stating it sold or not but for the possibly anomalous message, or maybe I need to clean my glasses lol

I thought it hadn't sold but then saw the screen. I took a screen shot as a similar thing happened with a Miura SV that didn't sell at an auction a little while back.

Yep...1300 Daytona's, 350 250 Lusso's, 600 330 GTC's, 350 275 GTB/4's ect.. Makes me wonder what people are going to do when they find out how many P 911's there are in the world :)

I have the same question. I wonder if its possible the mileage was reported in KM before. But doing a straight conversion yields about 47k miles and so there is an apparent discrepancy.

Were any of the Daytonas offered by RM, Gooding or Bonhams really good cars? The RM car looked a little tatty in the photographs and had an estimate and selling price that seemed to account for that. The Gooding car I'm pretty sure is the same one that Tom Hartley Jnr had for sale for some time in the UK and did not sell at one of the Paris sales last year? The Bonhams car looked nice but had a slightly love / hate interior /exterior colour combination which was also not original to the car (I actually liked it) and seemed to come with a really big estimate relative to the market in general?

In general terms if you want a Daytona Berlinetta to make good money (or even sell) at auction over the last 18 months it needs to be a plexi glass car sold at an auction in Europe. Even there the selling price trend is slightly downwards.
