Bill already has a beautiful F40 which I sold him years ago.

 

This repaired F40 just sold at Bonhams for £813,500, https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24120/lot/264/

 

Holy smoke! I hope the buyer saw the before repair pics! not a lot of the original car remained after the fire.

It cannot be registered in the UK as a result, as its a cat A write off, total insurance loss

Must've been a mistake, now it's showing a high bid of £725,000.

 

The pics/facts are in the public domain and have been posted on fchat before, however I am not sure if its right/fair on the buyer to post them up again.

As long as the buyer knew what they were buying then its still now a complete F40 once again at the end of the day, but that price is more the going rate for a no stories car

 

$942,000 is a strong bid for that car.

I think this result was spot on for the current market.

 

certainly nothing to be ashamed of.

 

The car is still unsold and is currently languishing at Sam Van Dalen's in Holland, asking price €895.000

Also described in this video as having had an "intense life", backing music by AC/DC.

 

They should post up the "before" shots as it truly is a remarkable resurrection, a proper phoenix of a car. I think it would actually help sell it! Heck of a lot of work had gone into getting it back on the road.
