I had to finance a whopping $10K to get the additional $30K off sticker but i agreed to make at least 3 payments, before paying off the loan.
Valencia red was my first choice but I’m really happy with the depth of color on the Casino White paint my car has.
Spoke with a owner at local C&C event who echoed the same sentiments as those posted here about how great the new NSX is. However, he said his discount was even bigger as he purchased a 189000 optioned car for 132k.... 57k off sticker. Car was a beautiful Curva Red color. (bright red)
Thinking about picking one up too! Have not driven one yet but got initial numbers at 136k on a 179k msrp. I think they would have gone lower if I were to sign the deal right away. Anyone know a great deal in CA? Have not test driven it yet, but heard good things. Only gripes from being up close are pretty unpractical (much, much worse than my 430...no front trunk, luggage shelf...just a miniscule rear trunk) and cheap feeling interior (plastic paddles, cloth roof liner, plastics everywhere). Always wanted a sporty car for long distance touring and road trips, this might fit the bill...except for the storage...
I have a 430 and the new nsx and the nsx trunk space is more than the 430’s. If I had to drive more that 2 hours the nsx gets my vote. My 430 has depreciated about 50% in 9 years. That will not be the case on the nsx. The nsx is faster (on straights, on corners, when stopping). The maintenance on the nsx will be less than 50% of the 430s. I love them both, but dollar for dollar, you have to live Acura! When I finally had enough money to buy a new Ferrari, I went to my local dealer, who reluctantly gave em the keys to a brand new 348ts. I was heartbroken by the poor build quality and driving performance. Across the street was an Acura dealer and I took out an NSX after returning the 348. Mind blowing! I still have an early NSX which remains one of my all time favorite cars to drive despite multiple Ferrari keys in my drawer. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The three that I was looking at in California all sold in the last 3 weeks, I purchased a Valencia red car. The storage is admittedly not that great. The trunk is not huge, but there are a couple of storage areas in the interior, even plug -in cupholder...I'm not sure why people say it's a cheap looking interior... I like mine- it's slathered in stitched leather and alcantara, with attractive curves and sculpted areas throughout.
Do you have the alcantara headliner interior? Just saw it was an option. I saw one with the standard headliner and its cloth just like a honda accord or something. Also not a fan of the interior plastics and the padddles. Looking around I think out of state dealers are giving better deals than California dealers
Plastics in the interior aren’t terrible, cool design at least. Paddles are the worst part. They need to offer a replacement. My only real interior complaints are the paddles and lack of storage.
I tell you what guys, staring at the NSX sitting in my garage during this North East winter is difficult but it’s given me time to drink in all the aesthetics. Not a bad angle on the car. Someone here said the proportions are perfect and they couldn’t be more right. Also the car is NOT LARGE. It’s wide, sure, but it’s a great size for a super car. I think Acura completely nailed it.
This thread has me hooked on checking one out......thanks alot guys! Will probably trade my V10 R8 Spyder for it. My local dealer has two with MSRP of 200K and 207K. I was thinking of offering 145K...what do you think? With this kind of deal you can probably drive these cars for a couple years and sell them without losing money!
Are the paddles mounted on the steering column like Ferrari or do they rotate with the steering wheel like R8?
Ugh....I hate that on my R8! Since that's what the NSX would replace, not a deal breaker....I guess. Have to test drive. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
Did they let you put the car in track mode during the test drive? They didn't let me do that during mine. Nonetheless, loved the car and made the trade from R8 to NSX Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
So I talked to 2 different dealers who each have the same exact cars @ $200K +. The first I spoke to volunteered that they could probably give me 50-60K off the sticker. The second basically said "that's an internet myth" and no one really does that. He offered the 30K incentive and "maybe a little more". Tough decision!! Can't wait to test drive...I'm sure I'll get clobbered on my R8 trade-in. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
No they did not, but I wish I had. I can say more than any car I’ve ever owned (except the i8 switching between electric and sport) the NSX totally changes it’s characer in the different modes. Track mode it will keep up with mostly anything on the street.
I think he is counting on inventory dwindling, low orders for the 2018s, and being able to get better prices when the supply gets low. But there are a lot of them in the Chicago area and it's the middle of an unusually cold winter!
