It snowed for the first time in 8 years on December 8 which was on the ground for less than 12 hours. The most accumulation recorded was a whopping 5 inches....

School in some cities delayed opening or closed entirely....

Normally, it rains....a nasty cold rain.

Only thing worse than the humidity in summer down here is in the cold and wet winters with that same humidity

I did some of my services/mods prior to winter, but in order of most recent to least this year:

    1. Had the front bumper (which had a crack due to hitting some object on the highway) repaired and repainted
    2. Swapped the metal F1 plate with a carbon fiber one
    3. Replaced F1 pump with the upgraded one from Juri
    4. Installed the ScudIng F1 smart relay
    5. Installed a carbon fiber handbrake (it feels a lot nice now)
    6. Installed carbon fiber race seats in the Daytona pattern / cuoio color (Euro-spec 458)
    7. Annual service
    8. Replaced stock F430 wheels with Scuderia-style wheels and Ferrari titanium bolts
    9. Replaced all Michelin PSS tires with Bridgestone RE-71R after a puncture
    10. Installed a carbon fiber steering wheel (really an amazing piece, best purchase this year after the seats)
    11. Replaced the stock speakers/tweeters with Focal, using the stock covers & added an audio amp behind the seat
    12. Replaced battery with 10lb lithium battery from Antigravity
    13. Replaced exhaust with Tubi sports exhaust
    14. Replaced headers with Capristo headers
    15. Replaced crappy worn out toolkit belt with DIY belt from Bull Leather (there's no way it will ever break again)
    16. Replaced worn out tool kit case with a new one (kept the old tools)
    17. Got a replacement flashlight
    18. Installed Fabspeed O2 extenders (no more CEL yay)
    19. Got a tune from Mase

Whew...I think 2018 is going to be a bit more chill.

My car is back at Algar right now (found a couple issues with it), and the CS TCU is going in. When it returns probably tomorrow I am going to install a heads up display. I bought a few Navdy's (I have one in my Porsche), when they first came out. Seems as I get older I find it easier to see the RPM's and Speed using the Navdy. It also reads my messages to me (I only used that once) and guidance and phone if need be. I may buy a second wheel and send it to Redline (they are redoing a wheel for the i8 now and the Evora 400 wheel they did came out great), I have never liked the feel of anything but leather on a steering wheel. I'm sure I will find more to do.

That is amazing. Did you swap it yourself? I'm wondering about the level of difficulty.

    Thanks!

I have done many, (probably around 250) many steering wheel swaps (though never in a Ferrari), and it (MB BMW easy RR very hard), and it has taken between 1-3 hours. These days arthritis has taken the strength from my left wrist (I'm a lefty), so I have to have my shop do it, but unless you are moving the controls (I've had to do that before) from one wheel to the other it is not that hard a job.

You will LOVE the CS TCU upgrade if your car is 2001 or earlier. I had a 2001 360 f1 and had clutch slipping problems even after replacing the clutch, throw-out bearing and actuator. I finally upgraded to the CS TCU and it transformed the car. No more slipping. I could set the PIS to optimize the engagement. Best of all, was the rev matching downshifts.

Houston really is pretty much a winter free area, I have put over 8,000 miles on my 360 spider in past 22 months, almost all of the miles are trips under twenty miles. During the 22 months I’ve completed a major, all new brakes and tires, new OEM alternator, replaced 2 oxygen sensors, 2 cat sensors, new stereo, floor mats, and welded both exhaust manifolds. About $15 k spent, but I fully expect to spend much less over next 8,000 miles, lol.

Not my first Ferrari, they are the best cars on the planet when sorted, part of the fun of ownership is getting them to run and perform as new. They can be frustrating, but I bet that most of the folks that post here enjoy learning more about their cars, not a week goes by that I don’t learn something new. I sincerely appreciate how supportive and knowledgeable the Ferrarichat members can be.

Driving the wheels off. But of course I'm in Florida. Don't worry I will all but put the car up come summer with the endless rain at the drop of a hat.

Looking for options of replacing my toolkit belt as well -- can you provide a link of what you found/used?

    This should get you started:

    1. Belt: https://www.bullhidebelts.com/collections/dress-belts/products/black-smooth-edge-bullhide-dress-one-inch-wide-belt-sku-212-18
    2. Mallet: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MWVAUUA/
    3. Hole puncher: Either https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0162O01CE/ or https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001F27AMI/ I don't remember what worked/didn't work
    4. V-shape cutter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0177NKLR4 (not sold any more, I'm sure you can find a substitute)
    5. Rivets: Either https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E5XSS6/ or https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0038B33PM/ I don't remember the exact sizing
    6. Leather dye: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HHM20M/
    7. Black felt: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0054G5XA2/

You'll likely also need a dremel tool or drill to remove the old belt from the car.

I would start by removing the old stuff. Then match the length (order an extra long belt in case you mess up) of the various pieces from the car. Next use the hole puncher and v-cutter to match the shape and holes. Then use some sandpaper to smooth down the edges. Finish off by dying the edges black.

It'll likely be easier to completely remove the carpet panels from the trunk. It's pretty simple using the hex wrench included with the car, but the screws are of different lengths so use masking tape to label them before you remove.

Put everything back together. Use the black felt to cover up the rivets. Note: the new screw-on rivets are extremely strong

Should be 1-2 hours max and you'll never have to worry about it again.

Sorry steps are out of order and maybe some steps are missing. This is posted from memory from last August...

Oh I forgot, you'll need an old vinyl cutting board for the stamps and hole punchers so you don't mess up your floor :)

And you may need to skiv the leather belt to make it thinner. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0036KZ9KC/

Skivving takes some practice to get the leather to be of even thickness so get the long belt and practice on a few test strips.

Also, none of the v-shaped cutters that came in my kit actually matched the shape of the car's belt. I used the mallet to shape the cutter itself. Man all these small details are coming back to me!

Wow that's completely impressive and nuts at the same time...

What did you do for the orange color of the belt, as I see the one you linked to was/is black?
