Will be having this in a couple of weeks now, hopefully with a better result than the first/emergency round.
Just a shout out to say “happy holidays!” You will get there Jon! Stay positive, stay determined! We are all rooting for you. And post often! You are sorely missed.
Jon, we don't know each other but learned of this tragedy early on, donated (I think for your girl's wonderful sons), have followed this now and then, Deloitte (actually TR&Co.) alumnus. I continue to hold you in my thoughts and prayers, and hope for success in your latest surgery. P-car / 356 guy here. There's some follow up in a 356 Registry thread about the incident and pending prosecution of the idiot who destroyed too many lives. Lot of people like me out there who still care about all this and wish you the very best in recovery and your future. Big Hugs, bro.
Thank you. I just read the Registry thread. I can't comment on the lawsuits, but the trial date (January 29) was vacated and will be rescheduled to allow me to recover from this next round of surgery enough to fly to San Diego to appear in court.
Jon,hoping 2018 brings you health and happiness. With a name like 'Bullfighter' you will pull through it all.
Mr. Bullfighter I wish you all the very best and a good and prosperous New Year 2018. Warmest regards from far away Switzerland. Marcel Massini
Thanks all - not much to report. The trial date was moved to June, so the trip back to San Diego will be a bit of a logistical adventure. I don't get out much, but there was a clear day east of Cleveland on Sunday, and I saw a new, red 488 GTB parked outside PF Chang where I was brought for lunch. First Ferrari sighting for me since moving here.
It sure is. I'm looking forward to the publication of new research some day, regarding the truly remarkable recoveries "F-and P-guys/girls" make out of severe medical conditions/circumstances. The headline "Victim of head-on collision makes a full recovery, amazing his complete medical staff". And then an interview with you Jon, explaining you just "ignored the odds" and decided to just do it. Sounds nice, doesn't it ?
It was unstuck a few weeks ago. My guess? Not a lot of activity, and Jon can bump it to the top when he has any follow up for us. And, since you guys are subscribed, you'll get a notice anytime ANYONE posts anything. The boss hates stickies, so we try to keep them to a minimum. D
Fair point, there comes a time to move ahead (not by forgetting) but by slowly looking towards the future having dealt with the initial pain of the past. God speed in your recovery Jon.
's OK, just means we have to take a bit more initiative.... So.... HEY JON! ARE YOU THERE? TALK TO US! I'm assuming if you saw a 488 on the ground a couple of weeks ago, that the snow must be gone, right? It's spring already in Ohio? Hmmm, raining small cats & dogs here in the great PNW......
With the calendar moving into 2019, I'm hoping that Jon is moving into the new year in an improved medical condition and brighter outlook. Any updates for us, Jon?
