We have a few kids in my family that are under twelve years old. My nephew is 9 going on 10. Have a twelve year old niece. Also have friends with kids too. So we have an effort to get them into older less explicit TV shows....... Like I'm collecting A-Team, Air Wolf and CHips for my almost 10 year old nephew. Now that he is almost 10, we'll add Magnum Pi and maybe even some Miami Vice. Black Sheep Squadron as well.

Just wondering what you all watch if you are an old tv junkie like we've become?

I'm already a fan of MeTV. Elrey shows Magnum Pi and a few others. Since the actor John Hillirmen who played Higgins passed last month. I'll ask all 308 members to do a scene that would get you in trouble with Higgins in Robins car..... And a moment of silence beginning with a horn honk or two........

    Perry Mason.

    Adam 12 and Dragnet.

Mission Impossible, the series, not the movies. - These are really great and available on DVD and Amazon Prime or Netflix.

Dick Van Dyke Show. Still funny almost 50 years later.

    The original Outer Limits.

The Addams Family NOT THE MUNSTERS.

Lots more, but if I could only watch one, I'd go Mission Impossible.

As a 10-year-old, The Outer Limits was pretty scary for a little kid! Was Time Tunnel on the same night? Who knew The Monkees were such stoners?
My appreciation of old "blower" Bentleys and the female-form started by watching The Avengers, with Diana Riggs. There are some great compilations of her on YouTube. And what red-blooded American boys didn't act out scenes from Batman and Man From U.N.C.L.E.?
Saturday afternoons were spent watching Championship Wrestling from Florida! That's a whole different thread to start!

Mom would let us watch 1 hour of TV after school, before it was time to do homework. Most typically we'd watch Batman and I Dream of Jeannie (Barbara Eden, what a babe!! ) on the old black and white telly...T

Her character name EMMA PEEL was derived from a note in the first writing of the pilot for the show. The character was originally named "Samantha" , but a producer wrote "character must have 'm-appeal" in the margin for "man appeal". Thus, Emma Peel was born.

Planet of the apes series and Nightstalker scared the **** out of me as a child. A trippy kids show was HR Puffinstuff (spelling?). That show combined with The wizard of oz has given me an irrational fear of witches and the thought of a flying monkey is horrifying.

One of my favorites was Columbo. Each week a new mystery.

I think only one case he never solved because the person who did had a mental problem and couldn't remember doing it.

I watch Hogan every week night.. Bob Cranes last TV appearance was on a Vancouver based show called Cooking with Celebrity's by Bruno. I remember watching that episode and it was weird cause it aired just before he was murdered.

I love Rockford Files as well.

I was bored so I was watching some ME TV a few weeks ago.

I Dream of Jeannie and Green Acers

    Some things really struck me.

The production values are SO bad. The jokes SO corny. But somehow they are still funny and interesting.

And Barbara Eden was just fine to look at. :) I imagine a lot of guys tuned in each week just to look at her "blinking". :)

Do we need a flashback post in the backroom lounge? She'd be a good fit in any of those threads.;)

A few stories got recycled back then too. Air Wolf was originally a Magnum PI episode and they decided to just make its own show.

Still one of the great moments in sitcom history. That and the line from Everybody Loves Raymond between the father and mother Frank and Marie. Marie: '' Frank you know I'm not some kind of trophy wife.'' Frank: " what contest in hell did I win to get you for a trophy." Awesome

“Movin’ On”, NBC show from 1974-76 about two truckers, Sonny Pruitt (Claude Akins) and Will Chandler (Frank Converse).
It’s on Hulu, Amazon, and remastered DVDs just came out last Fall. Love this show. So much I recently acquired one of the actual Kenworth W925s used in season one.
