Funniest/Stupidest comments you have received about your Ferrari

I went through that routine for 20 years on the Alfa.
Most insurance agents knew about Ferraris, but the younger ones had never heard of Alfa Romeo.

 

"Nice mustang!'

 

From a woman: "Nice Ferrari! Who makes it?"

 

Not a problem here, Alfa owner is usually followed with "Do you have good breakdown cover?" Wise arses

I've never gotten the Mustang comment - those people must be lobotomy survivors - but I did get, "Nice Porsche!" once. "Thanks, but it's a Ferrari" was my response. "Oh wow" was the end of the exchange.

 

Occasionally I've had garage visitors who have said nothing at all. They will fawn over my ratty BMW 2002 or my motorcycles, but don't mention the Ferrari. Like it's taboo or something. Weird.

Pull up to a stop light with my wife in the passenger seat and the top down on Saturday. Guy pulls up in a towering pick up truck pulling a boat.

Guy: “She’s absolutely magnificent”

Me: “My wife or the car?”

Guy: “what year is she?”

Me: “my wife? 1971. The car? 2010 (California)”

Guy: “Well, she’s obviously well kept. Congratulations”

I left it at that. My wife’s still laughing about it.

I was at a red light with a Tesla on my left. The passenger rolls down the window and said, "You need to drive a Tesla, your Ferrari is too loud". (I have a Tubi exhaust). I saw a kid crossing the crosswalk holding a cellphone. I high-rev the engine a few times and reply, "You need to drive a Ferrari, your Tesla has no soul". The kid gave me a thumbs up!

 

In downtown Gainesville two teens "dude,brought out the old school Ferrari. Magum P.I.I love it",as they took many pics and selfies

 

This may be one of the better ones. Me and my date were out to eat last Saturday in the 458. She is 43yrs young, tall, blonde, super model looks! As I opened the door for her a group of 6 or 8 females late 20s to early 30s passed by on the sidewalk. One of the girls spoke just barely loud enough for everyone to hear and said, ("she must have a great vagina")!

 

Never encountered a bad one!

That's actually pretty condescending. My Fiancee is quite tall, very clever, dark haired and below fifty. Slim, pretty (well I think so) and very big boobs. The girl in question would have been eating the pavement. :-D

My Mrs always looks really young, and with me being mid-40’s, I’ve had plenty people making sneaky comments at times about me being old enough to be her dad/grandad/dirty old man etc, my reaction is usually to make sure they are looking, and squeeze her ass really tight which always makes her laugh loudly and them turn away in disgust!

 

Walked out of a reasturant as a girl was posing in front of my car. I waited until she was done. I asked politely if she was done and she asked if it was mine. I said yes. She said if it was I'd take her for a ride ( I guess she didn't believe me). I unlocked the car and opened the passenger side door and said jump in. She looked shocked and asked, " do you have a big D@$# " I said, " no, that's why I have the car". Her friends pulled her away.

 

Sounds like the kind of classy, unassuming girlie that I like to enjoy once in a while......... you lucky dude, should’ve taken full advantage. Shallower than a puddle on a hot day me!

 

I'm 59 and your comment tempts me to hire a twenty-something escort just to elicit that kind of reaction.

 

You have to do it, the disgusted looks you get from the ladies pale into insignificance compared to the ‘lucky bastard’ looks from their husbands!

I think most (all) women would like to be hot, very hot, so hot men could not control themselves around them, they would like that more than they would like to be smart, rich, powerful, almost anything else. There is something primal about bending any and all men to your will that is supremely satisfying to women.

That statement from other younger women that, "she must have a great v.." was a supreme complement, not something to resent.

 

You're wrong Doug. Maybe all the women you've met but not me. I've worked in IT and Engineering all my life and come across pretty girls and most are extremely intelligent. Most have been better than their equivalent male colleagues.
Those and including both my ex-missus and my Fiancee are not remotely that way inclined. Sure, everybody would like to be a little better looking and fitter, I'm losing my hair and a bit of a porker and do strive to be a bit fitter.
My friends wives and girlfriends are the same. I have not met a woman that would like that comment. It really is suggesting they're just a piece of meat. **** I resent it. :-(
