Gotti, custom made for the rear 'haunches' of the 'la dolce vita' show Mangusta. Originals definitely better, but well executed on a 'hotrod' effort. Isis logo machined into metal center caps.

i was thinking of 180/60 23/62. yes agreed, 245 equivalents would be perfect. does it push alot more in corners with your set up? im trying dial understeer out with 225-245 on fuchs

group 4 reps only go up to 10's unfortunately. real ones are rare and depending on the condition suspect if not xrayed or dyed

6-7k is an eternity for race/rallye tire! i go through a set of rears on normal non-r specs in 5k or less.

I'm optimistic on tire life. On the DP with somewhat aggressive street driving it doesn't push. I ran the 215/50/15's on 9's and 295/40/15's on 11's on our '75 Carrera street legal race car. The car was very well set up, again, pretty aggressive on the street, no push. I never ran them on the track. I think the TB5's would be better in the rain than the TB15's.
I've only seen one real set of Campys which consisted on 9 & 11's a few years back selling for $3500. I consider the real ones as wall art, I don't think I'd run them.
I'd like to get a set of Group 4 8's & 9's for my Porsche powered bus, but the Michelins are so expensive.

thanks for the feed back... im leaning towards 245-275 hoosiers right now though i love to to have TB's. I think the TB5 would be much worse, they have slick outers without treads on the outs sides. RB20's would be the TB rain tires which look nearly identical but wouldnt last at all in the dry due to the softer compound.

Competition Classic Tyre range | Michelin Classic

this weekend I just past on a brand new set of RB20's that were mounted on a very nice set of 8x15 12x15 ROIN stratos coffen spoke wheels. I dont have any 308's anymore. it was a HELL of a deal..retail for 8K with the tires but was asking 1500 euros for everything! if the rears were 10x15 i probably would have jumped on it. it would give me an excuse to get another 308

gotti's arent italian but are a french company.... like jean alesi, folks often get confused. :)

Dang. Should have read this earlier. Just had a 3 month vacation. I'd be up for a visit sometime, haven't gotten to spend much time in that beautiful area.

email me at DCRallyDave at yahoo dot com and will start a wishlist for your Scorpion.

Started my Ferrari F50 taillight conversion to mine couple days ago. Have some crazy idea cooking in my head. The perfectly good Ferrari 360 panel I hacked in half to mount the lights I am gonna give up on using and instead hacked another Lancia rear grill.

Factory Scorpion 'bowtie' wheels are great modification for X-19.

Absolutely, will be in touch Dave.

Wheel question; When we see these 'dino' style wheels on these fiats are they 13" or ? And what width? They look amazingly good. There are 2 well known 850 spiders in different blue's with these.

dino style is #40571 4x98s are typically 5.5x13 depending on the car they are for like bmw's 14's, fiat dinos or flares and chairs dino they can get up to 7.5.

some of the old campys ranged from 10 inch to 16 dia with the same styling

dino 40571 a great looking wheel btw in my humble opinion

I ran 245 front and either 275 or 315 rears on our race car. They liked a lot of camber, 2.8 front and 3.0 rear.

Agreed Mike, I did discover there is a light blue - beautiful car - in Pollock Pines, not far from you, that has these Dino style wheels. So I've found a set of Melber's in 'Fiat' size so I can retain some individuality and I love the style too. Here is photo, I'm waiting on 4th wheel from Italy now, then refinish and tire up.

Question for you wheel/tire experts. When sizing center caps do you measure from the inside of the hole on either side or? Because finding Melber center caps has proven to be less than ez - and I want to stick the scorpion logo on there most likely. I've got Abarth seat belts and header - makes it an Abarth Spider :D

I wonder who designed all these great rims? There must have been a few guys, but no mention is ever given. It would be nice to know and salute them!

Todays rims are sooo boring I walked at least a mile of rims at the SEMA show and 95% of the stuff all looked the same

I always thought that Melber Majors were the coolest looking wheels. Got these, anticipating a purchase of a AR Spider. That deal fell through and so did the next one. Anyway, these are available. They are fully restored, 4x108, metal valve stems

I guess being newb does not allow me to interact on PM level. Nonetheless, being that these are fully restored Melber Majors, I believe $2000 is a fair ask. Will take more than that to get a used set and then go through the restoration process...

Anyone noticing that Bringatrailer is routinely offering rare and 'cool' wheelset s along with cars now? I've seen Fuch's, etc. a regular feature. I may offer up something there in the near future.

285/40 R15 on De Tomaso styled 10 " Campagnolo wheels. Great design of the 60/70th, reminders of the legendary Dunlop rain tires… Street legal in Europe, even for fast cars... Should fit competition Stratos/Michelotto 308 as well.…
