Yep, that's all there was to it, Vettel did the usual thing leaders do, Kimi got a phenomenal start, Max was squeezed, the rest is coulda/woulda/shoulda
Vettel shot himself in the foot, and crippled his chances of WDC 2017. Now he has an even bigger task ...Max will continue to push his luck.he has nothing to lose, and R Bull are fully behind his style. So this is playing into Lewis' hands, unless of course Max collides with him too
Lewis has been very cautious about trying a pass on Max, and thought better of it, even when Max is on knackered rear tyres.
A true racer goes for it, hence Sebastian's move on Max in the British GP, with Max saying "He Wants To Play Bumper Cars". Better to race than be a moving 'Mobile Chicane'.
If this Malaysian GP is a wet one and Charlie lets them race w/o the SC, Max is not going to accept whatever place he is in nor where he is at in the points, he is going to race in the wet like if it was any other race in the wet.
I'm the guy on the phone hitting it like 10x on how to say it in his language..... Red Bull Racing wish Max Verstappen a Happy 20th Birthday! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vqRcHiYNaTQ
Max's contract details with RedBull supposedly leaked: Annual salary: $ 3.5M $50.000 extra per point $1,5m for a GP win He has personal sponsorship deals worth $1m a year If Max extends his contract with RB he receives a €10m signing bonus Not bad for a 20 year old.
Yep, never ran into anyone .......... unfortunately Hamilton had the sense to keep away from him , he knows he is dangerous, Vettel still to learn that lesson He does drive well out on his own ............ maybe time to put a sticker on his car : DOES NOT PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS !!
This is @Max33Verstappen his best win so far & he did it on his own with no help from Mercedes like 2016 spain Image Unavailable, Please Login brilliant driving by him well deserved Image Unavailable, Please Login
Every penny is deserved. Max is the rare case where the gene pool actually improved with the second generation. Most sons of F1 drivers are a mere shadow of their fathers. Max is the exception to the rule.
You are forgetting that his mother, although with a short career, was probably more talented racing driver than his father
Please tell. I know nothing about her. In a way I'm already shuddering what will happen when Ralf Schumacher's kids become racing driver: Both parents were racing. Sort of.
Has anyone else noticed that whenever Kvyat loses his seat, Verstappen wins the race? All the best, Andrew.
When you consider that Ferrari pay $7.5m for Kimi, it is clear RB have a complete and utter bargain deal with Max! Actually, on reflection, pretty much any other driver is a bargain deal compared to Kimi's fees.
Max is at almost 10mil with his points and win now. He is over that with his sponsorship. The paddock rumor is Ferrari and Mercedes are willing to offer 20mil for Max to leave Red Bull. So a 20mil Pound contract per year I would think.
Max mother won the prestigious "Trofeo Margutti", an one-event karting championship in which the best drivers from Europe race every year. Look at the results: Qualy http://www.trofeomargutti.com/public_html/risultati/1995/1995_FA_Qualif.pdf Final http://www.trofeomargutti.com/public_html/risultati/1995/1995_FA_Final.pdf Just to name a few, on the grid you have Davide Forè, 5 times world champion, Jarno Trulli (one-time world champion) and later F1, Giorgio Pantano (GP2 Champion), plus go-kart legends such as Massimiliano Orsini, Sauro Cesetti, Gianluca Beggio, etc. These drivers that she had defeated might not have reached F1 due to sponsoship issues but they were the "Verstappens" of their time. Although she stopped racing prematurely, I don't remember if Jos Verstappen had won a championship where he had defeated an impressive line-up of talented drivers such as those that Sophie did. OCTOBER 3, 2017 Sepang winner Verstappen has the flu Max Verstappen has admitted he is not feeling well in the days before Sunday's Japanese grand prix. Indeed, the Dutchman said he was already suffering from the flu in Malaysia, where he beat championship leader Lewis Hamilton for his second career win. In an interview with the Dutch broadcaster Ziggo Sport Totaal, Verstappen admitted he didn't feel great on the day after his Sepang victory. "Normally I would feel good, but I was sick. The night before I slept badly and so it was a lot more difficult than normal. "I have not felt so well for a while. I have a little flu -- my nose is blocked, I have a headache. It's getting better, but it will take some time," Verstappen, who turned 20 last Saturday, added. He said he is already in Japan and will travel by train to the Suzuka region on Thursday.
The $10m extension bonus is smart. Max is breathing down Hamilton's neck as the fastest guy out there. Merc and Hamilton know it.
