    Hello all,

I'm relocating my 1987 Ferrari 328 GTS to the San Francisco Bay area. I'm looking for a Ferrari mechanic based on the Peninsula, East Bay, or San Francisco. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. It's good to be back in the forum!

Search the forum plenty of answers on that but i would go all the way in san jose to see Roberto at Roselli. True italian, over 40. Years of experience. The best.

I've had great experiences with all these guys. I jump around because sometimes I have to work for extended periods in certain locations in the Bay Area, and it's hard to drive 2+ hours to certain shops (especially if your car has an immediate issue)

    South Bay: Roberto@Roselli
    Peninsula: Johanes@Dino Motors
    San Francisco: Tony@T&R Motors
    North Bay: John@GMP Motors

    Good Luck!

I've used Roberto @Roselli's a few times and he' awesome. Walking through his shop is like a coffee and cars lot. Call ahead as he can get super busy and have a lead time.

For an older cat Grand Prix is great. Last time I was there he didn’t have an SD so there was some limitation on his ability to service a newer car. BUT I haven’t been there in years so it might hav3 changed.

I highly recommend Danny and Johanes at Dino Motors in San Mateo. They are located near the intersection of the 92/101. They've serviced my 308 over the last 4 yrs and have always done a quality job. Including installing electronic ignition, new clutch, smog service, and transmission service. They do take their time but the quality is great.

Sal Garcia does great work-actually Sheldon does all the work. Attention to detail and everything is always done right. Problem is your car will be there a very long a very long time. I would suggest Pat Otis in the East BAY good work and fast turn around

I highly recommend John Heim of GMP Cars (www.gmpcars.com) in Novato. He has rebuilt my car's gearbox and fixed an electrical issue that my car was having. High quality work. He is thorough with a fast turnaround. He explained everything, even providing me a tutorial of the gearbox engineering. Great pricing too.

Absolute best is Tony and his crew at T&R automotive in SF. This is what was in front of his shop today. Not pictured are 2 other Ferraris getting ready for a spa day. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Brian at San Francisco Motorsports is the best tech I have ever come across. Used to work for Patrick Ottis, and has extensive knowledge from 308’s to 458’s. Jesse who is the president of the service department is factory trained not only in all things Ferrari, but also Aston Martin, Jaguar, Range Rover, etc. Great crew over there.

We are fortunate to have a handful of truly excellent Ferrari (and exotics) mechanics in the Bay Area. I’ve had the good fortune of coming to know each one over the years. In no particular order:

Tony Abdulmassih, T&R Automotive, San Francisco

Ted Taormina. Taormina Imports, San Carlos

    John Heim, GMP, Novato

Also for classics, Patrick Otis in the East Bay.

You can’t go wrong with any if them.
