Great idea Mel. Certainly worth a try.
Looks like Hill Engineering has picked up the UFI slack on oil filters. Couldn't find these on the Hill site but apparently some no-name ebay part seller has them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ferrari-Testarossa-Oil-Filter-New-1PC-Italian-Quality-Replacement-P-N-124228-US-/192287639508
Seems a little odd that the brand is listed as "Hill Engineering", but it doesn't seem to be on the Hill Engineering website? Might just be a Porsche filter with the price increased by 10X (and don't see how it could be "remanufactured").
It is odd because they're not made (remanufactured lol) by Hill. I pinged the seller who provided a vague reply about cutting and pasting the description that had errors and typos as he puts it. He did confirm they are new and not made by Hill and only that they are made by an Italian manufacturer the source of which he would not divulge. Buyer beware.....
Just popped in for the first time in a few months and am shocked to read this news. But why should I be? I remember the former FNA presidente stating 27 years ago at a Club dinner that (paraphrased) "...we are going to have/stock parts for every Ferrari made..." Even then I thought he was full of BS. And he was because I had to wait 4 months for a common replacement part. I finally called NJ and told them there is an Al Italia flight from LA to Milan every day and if they couldn't get the part, I would fly to Italy and get it myself. They mailed it the next week. That's a helluva way to run a business. Chaz
The Current Replacement is 23.192.03 From Exotic Motorsports Racing they started selling them around 2001- 2017. This is the closest thing to OEM at this time. 23.192.03 - Ferrari Testarossa Oil Filter FILTRO OLIO
Autoepoca is showing Testarossa filters: https://www.autoepoca.it/portfolio/ferrari-testarossa-ufi-oil-filter-124228/
I don´t worry too much. I only read your posting that UFi produced again and then I have seen this old package from FERRARI and not from UFi.so old stock, but the filter looks fine, no rust on the surface also the picture is from 2017
