    Very awesome, these men were made of something else from their time. Extremely brave and daring.

    A few years ago I had a chance to speak with John "Buck" Fulp, who raced for N.A.R.T. back in the day. I asked Buck how did you do it? He said, "Heck, we were all just dumb and didn't know any better. Safety was not a big concern. At Sebring the fuel neck broke and they blistered my back and bottom with fuel, it sloshed around in the floorboards for most of my stint."

    Buck is still with us. Amazing men at an amazing time. Tough as nails. Must have been the best time to be alive.

    If you want to see the modern equivalent (at least!) of these guys try bike racing at the Isle of Man TT or the Real Road Racing series in Ireland
