I use Micron ablative. Cleaned 1/month in the winter and 2/month in the summer. I get about 18 months out of it.

Lots of Prop Speed on the running gear. The props have so much twist that if they are fouled at all the performance goes off a cliff. Pic below is them finishing the prop speed.

That Sea Doo is bad ass. How fast have you gotten it up to?

Jet skiing has to be one of my favorite activities

You should hook up with some of the nuts in SoFla who take them across the Gulfstream to the Bahamas. What they do is crazy but they seem to have a great time.

I saw a couple in a marina that had come across in fairly rough water. The girlfriend on the back was barfing in the middle of the Gulfstream from sea sickness. Now that's a tough person but there are no other choices than to go forward. They time when they can breathe based on the gaps in the water coming over the top.

I have heard about that. Those guys are pretty crazy!

Almost every time I'm on a lake using a friends jet ski which is nice because I'm never that far away from the dock. I want to eventually get my own lake house but for now I'm stuck with other people's set ups.

The few times I've been on the ocean it was pretty crazy. It's completely different than a lake and the waves can be pretty awesome.

Awesome vessel ! Hatteras 65 ? They always looks so big and imposing at haul out,
even small boats are so much larger ! Interesting is the technical aspect of the thin nut
on the prop shaft first, and the large nut securing and torquing the small nut.
A lot of boatyard arguments on that one....

When I had my shaft/props trued the yard installed the large first, I had them flip
them around like yours since that is the recommended way, but the tech said
he never had a lost prop the other way.....

Here is my Boston Whaler 170 Dauntless. I could not have found a more perfect boat for our needs. She is a virtual swiss army knife and can handle anything we throw at her.

I've had a thing for Boston Whalers since i was kid. I love this boat.

My neighbor has the same boat. It's virtually new and he wants to sell it. He just bought a pontoon boat. Anyone interested?

What year is it? How much is he asking for it? Has it spent its life in salt water?

I like Whalers and I own 2. They are solid, stable and quiet. Not as exciting as some brands but they wear well with time.

One of my college buddies is married to a woman in the Coast Guard. She has loads of stories of having to rescue people who try to do things like this Bahamas run and don't succeed. Her rule of thumb is "If you can identify two distinct islands on a classroom globe, that means they're too far apart to try and Jet Ski in between them" :)

Is the center console a custom build? Looks like a Davis or Jarrett but the bow rake looks too steep. Love it.
