I'm on Staten Island. My home central air has a slow leak in the evap coil. It bleeds out of freon every 2+ years. I need a recharge of R22, it takes about 4 pounds. The system is 20 years old, I need an entirely new setup, but not now. All I want is a recharge to get me through the rest of this season. Anyone here in the business want a service call, or can hook me up with a 10, 15 or even 30 pound cylinder? I can order it from out of state, but I'm trying to avoid the shipping down time, I won't get it until mid next week. I found it somewhat local on Craigslist, cash deals only, but I don't want to set myself up to be robbed, or worse. Appreciate any help, PMs welcome also.
