New 458 Spider arrived yesterday

Wow, looks like I'm the 2nd guy in 2 days to trade in his CaliT for a 458 Spider because the CaliT didn't "scratch the Ferrari itch" as Secondsole so eloquently put it.

Had a 2007 F430 (Grigio Silverstone/nero) for a long time, went to a 2016 CaliT (Rossa Corsa/Nero) because I felt I'd get much more use of it as a semi daily driver. Fantastic car, but just too refined for me after having the 430. :/


Searched for about 5 weeks and made a very nice, super smooth transaction with Graig Choute at Ferrari of Long Island. Straight shooter, great communication, fair, reasonable, and expedient. I had heard good things about FofLI and looks like they were accurate.

Man, this car is the 430 turned up to 11 1/2. The gas is more like an ON/OFF switch than I recall on the 430 as well. Had a little difficulty driving it smoothly yesterday. Kept it in SPORT most of the time.

Thanks for the nice words everyone. Means a lot coming from this group.

Racing seats are something else. Drove 90 mins today with no fatigue or anything. Didn't realize what a difference the seats can make.
