Awesome. Are you trading, or are you an "accumulator."

I accumulate (they are all relatively cheap) until I can't keep them all well running. Fortunately, the historic/classic insurance is also cheap and I found a real good/reasonable British car mechanic out in Jersey.

XJS looks super clean - very pretty color too Jordan!

We gotta get together for a little photoshoot when it gets warmer out.

    Congrats!

    Thanks Greg.

I just couldn't resist such a inexpensive V-12. It's in real good shape (one of the prior owners was a Jag mechanic). The only problem I had was on one of my test drives.......the speedometer just wouldn't read over 100 despite the fact that the car kept accelerating & accelerating. It's rock steady. I guess I'll just have to drive it hard until that speedometer becomes unglued.

The later HE models, such as the one I purchased, were better built and have plenty of headroom compared with the earlier versions. I'm not really an "automatic" guy, but it made it an easier sell to my wife. After all, have many classic cars and iceboats can you buy?
    I guess we'll see!

    See you this spring,
    Jordan

Nice additions Jordan. My question is, how big is your garage? You have how many sweet cars and ice boats now???

I wanna be you when I grow up!

    Hey - I don't have a TR or a 355!

5 garage bays, 4 long driveways, 6 classic cars and 5 iceboats.

Your cars would eat mine alive, but I bet my Skeeter would beat the Ferraris around the windward mark (it takes just a brief scary moment to accelerate from 60 the 110mph)

    Still have your TVR?
Last sunday in Summit at Cars & Croissants a guy pulled up with a monster customized TVR.

Not my cup of tea. Widened a LOT with a huge V8 in it and an iridescent paint job.

It was jaw dropper but not in the right way for me at least ...

I saw that TVR a couple years ago at a C&C. Not really my cup of tea either, but it was a crazily ambitious project that he pulled off amazingly well. The owner is a really nice guy. I think the engine had turbo or supercharging AND nitrous. I don't remember the exact figures, but it's a light car and I think he said he could dial up the boost to something like 1000hp

Well ... when he arrived he was trying to back up into a space and the "thing" made noises that turned everyone's head, that's something at this event ... It sounded like it was tearing itself apart. Sensibly he went around the block and pulled in nose first.

I still have all the cars (in various working condition) except the MB 560SEC. The chassis broke. The engine is out in the TVR...then I want to get it repainted. It's a great car to drive. I feel more at one with it than with my Lotus Elan +2S. Other favorites that are a pisser to drive on back roads are the Khamsin and WRX. The Mustang is also fun but can be twitchy...
