Funny you should ask that... For the record, it's safer for cyclists to descend as quickly as possible and they have the right of way and the right to occupy and entire lane on a descent. As I said, we will discuss at length at the picnic. I am not happy.
Is it a legit incident or just a bunch of disgruntled cyclists complaining because they didn't like getting passed by of Ferraris? I'm sure we all gave plenty of space when we were passing them, at least in my group, which is the last group with around 6 - 7 cars. Plus I was behind the Daytona, we're just cruising 30 - 50 mph like 98% of the time
Far from it. In fact, they went out of their way to say that the cyclists reported that the vast majority of the group was "extremely courteous." They singled out three cars for dangerous and unsafe driving and for endangering cyclists. That's all I'll say here.
You guys should consider taking 67 to Deckers/Woodland Park/Divide/ and Cripple Creek/Victor. I almost NEVER see bicyclists on those stretches....
Please tell me you didn't drive Lookout Mountain, did you? Mile for mile, minute for minute, this is my favorite route not favored by cyclists that combines great scenery, tunnels, and is lightly trafficked. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have a similar route in that area. Hwy 24 to Hwy 9 to Hwy 40 to Hwy 34 to Hwy 7 to Hwy 72 to Hwy 6 to Hwy 119 to Hwy 70 to Hwy 103 to Squaw Pass to Hwy 74 to Hwy 73 to Hwy 285 to Hwy 67 or the reverse of it. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Aside from a car show on Saturday (early, I presume) is there any car activity in the Denver area for the week of July 1 - 8? Someone on F'Chat kindly told me of the car show, but I will not get there until mid-afternoon on the 1st. Thanks: David Lind

West side of Denver, this Saturday (July 1st).
Early 1990s black Aston Martin Vantage on heading east out of the foothills on I70 around 8:00 this morning, very retro cool!
The Lamborghini Urus test car has been in town for a couple days now. Saw it tonight, except it had a cover on it Keep your eyes open for it on the public roads in the next couple days.... [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl1ezbRrWYY[/ame]
On Saturday around 9am there was a red 308 GTB going west bound on 285, between Conifer and Bailey (if I recall correctly)
Nice catch. The Denver West Marriott is where all the test car crews seem to base their operations out of. That wouldn't happen to have been a 328 GTB, would it? -F
That wouldn't happen to have been a 328 GTB, would it? -F[/QUOTE] I was originally going to type 308/328 since I really wasn't sure, but figured my odds would be safe saying 308. I only got a quick glance at the car as I was driving the opposite direction.
Yesterday around 945am, a red 430 convertible in Parker turning left from NB Parker Rd. to WB Lincoln. Beautiful day for a drive!
Saturday: 430 Scuderia in a bumble bee spec in Evergreen. Nice alternative to red. Sunday: F12 in metallic red (Rosso Fiorano?) headed east on I70 around Genesee. Looked great. -F
