Wow - really sharp. Curious, why did you choose to paint the roof over a wrap? Better quality finish? I did the side vents in carbon too on my Grigio Alloy Cal30 and am considering doing a black wrap on the roof/A pillars to match.
^^What he said. The yellow Cali with black wheels and yellow calipers looks nice. You ever think about carbon fiber shields? Congrats on an awesome car T
Thank you. I wrapped my Porsche (see above) - it was a nightmare. You can always tell it's a wrap and I just didn't like how it came out. Parts starting pealing. The paint is amazing, flawless. I didn't want the A Pillar done, but I bought a spare set of A Pillars in black, so I can swap anytime I want (also mirrors). Erik
Thank you. I did - I just like the original look of the shields better, I just wish there was a bit of black surrounding as contrast. Erik
If I may inquire, did you have these parts installed at the dealer, aftermarket at an independent, do it yourself, or something else? Thank you. T
My issue with the A Pillar is when the top is down - the single black pillar sticks out in my opinion... Erik
I had it done at an independent. Although, the dealer offered to install them as well. I can't do anything mechanical myself... Erik
Absolutely beautiful - I love it! The black roof with the yellow is a killer. The carbon center console is on my to-do list as well. I notice OCarbon doesn't list any F parts on their site - did they do yours as a one off? Any more economical than MACarbon?
Thank you. Yes, OCarbon did a one off for me, but I assume they can make it for you too. They were much cheaper than MACarbon - but I'm not sure if MACarbon is real CF or not. To be honest, any weight savings on a center console or AC Vent is tiny and not worth the extra money IMO. They matched the OEM carbon steering wheel 100% and the quality is top notch. Email Matt at OCarbon and let him know you say Erik's California and wanted to know how much to do the center console. There are two parts to it (top and bottom) and they did both and put the cavallino back. Erik
Thanks Erik. It sounds like you had to disassemble and send the part in to be modified? That would be a bit painful as this is my daily driver... It might be worth the extra to get the MACarbon part, as they do a core swap. I'm not worried about the weight - it would just be nice if the console cosmetically matched the wheel/paddles.
Yes, I had to disassemble and ship to them. I have MACarbon parts in my 348 - still top notch, just a bit more pricey. Best of luck! Erik
Looks very nice. My vote is to do the a pillar in black too. I think it looks better matching with the top. Mismatching withe the bonnet is more obvious
