If I can. I've seen in the past a similar problem where oil level was fixing the problem but........
the problem was a cracked oil pump pick-up tube. When cold the crack was tight and oil too thick, after a few minutes the crack expand and the oil get lighter and air was sucked in the system. The crack was a bit above normal oil level. More oil got the crack below oil level and was hiding the problem.

But this was on a different engine.

The TR is a dry sump, It is fed from oil tank I believe. So a cracked pick up shouldn't matter!

I made an appointment with the shop. They offered to have a second look. In the meantime I talked to another owner who replaced the sensors 3 times and every time gets the same problem after a while.
He now just ignores it. I don't want to do that, so where can I get information about this digital oil psi upgrade?

You are still a ways away from buying new parts. You still seem set on deciding this is a gauge issue. You need to get a known good mechanical gauge on the car and get some readings of pressure with hot oil at idle and at 2000 and 4000 RPM. Good or OK are not answers. Actual pressure readings are what you need.
