Hey everyone, I thought this might be a good place to post this... I am on the search for a specific car my father, Joseph Nitti built in the late 80s. I would love to track down the car and current owner if at all possible. The car was a 1958 Testarossa pontoon fender rebody that was built on a 250 GTE chassis using the motor from the same car. The body was a custom fiberglass construction. Years after my father sold the car, it was purchased by a gentleman to modified it for vintage racing. I do not recall his name. I did some research online and all I could find was this ad, which is now very old.

1964 Ferrari 250 GTE / Testa Rossa rebody for sale: photos, technical specifications, description

Based on the description, I believe this might be my father's car. I sent an email to the ad but did not get a reply.

My father owned and restored dozens of exotics when I was growing up including his 250 GT California Spider, 275 GTB 2-cam aluminum body, 206 Dino, Lamborghini 350 GT, 400 GTs, Maserati Ghibli SS, etc, etc, but this TR rebody project was the culmination of all of his experience, knowledge, and passion that he literally built from the ground up. Any leads or insight anyone can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance-

    Adam Nitti

I have in my notes that gte 4257GT was parted out by Joe Nitti in 1987 and since 1988 known as a 250 TR replica. You have the right car but I don't know who owns it now. Hope you find your father's old car.

Thanks for the link! That's the car, for sure. I wish I could figure out how to get in touch with the current owner. Appears this car has changed hands a good bit...

Ah, that's the car I saw on the road in the summer near Portsmouth in southern England. There are two Vintage Ferrarari specialists nearby, Jim Stokes and Setford & Co.

Oh my gosh Kevin, thanks so much for sharing these pics! I didn't even have that 2nd picture of my father! Not sure where that came from, but I am so grateful to have it!!! Is that Larry C's motor from his 275? Still on the hunt for the TR... :( Not sure how to get in touch with the current owner...

I don't know how the Type 128 block differs from an early 275, but it is a 275 engine. I took the picture. Joe had some interesting cars pass thru the Alpine St home.
