been a while since I've been to IMS; the surrounding neighborhoods have always seemed....gritty, but have they gone that far downhill? I was thinking they were lower middle class blue collar, not get mugged in a drive thru third world.

Thankfully they weren't harmed. There are so many worthless lazy people out there. I wish we would just kick them out of the country for taking this place for granted.

The most surprising thing is that they were eating at a Taco Bell....after a successful Pole run, they decided to make a boarder run....often followed up with a bathroom run.

West of the Speedway is OK.....east is a bit dodgier. They went east.

Should have went St. Elmos', or the Capital Grille, or Oceanair, or something else.

I'm sure Chip would have ate the tab.

Everyone is ok and the two perps arrested, so no, not too early...problem is, they never went in....but were sitting at the order speaker with the window down! :)

You get what deserve (including explosive diarrhea) if you make a late night run to Taco Bell.

The article on the Autoweek web site says Dixon and Franchitti were "celebrating" Dixon's pole qualification run. Seriously? At Taco Bell?

Paraphrasing a famous Bill Murray character: "I wanna party with you guys!"

    Exactly...

Why, with access to all of the great hospitality food all over the paddock, would these guys
go to Taco Bell in the middle of the hood?

The way these drivers have every calorie monitored, every electrolyte replenished and the
strict regime they follow and monitored by team physios, which follow them around like a
shadow, it seems amazing that they'd go and do this.

Maybe Taco Bell cuisine has some helpful system-purging effects......

  17. Because, through all the idolization, hype, exaggerated claims of all sorts of things; the usual celebrity BS that's espoused and anything else one wants to attribute to them; they're actually real people. :)

Really? I'm real and I have never...ever....eaten at Taco Bell. Probably millions of other real people haven't either.

Some options come to mind.....delivery.....catering.....just a thought when wanting to travel in the "bad-part" of town.....or have personel/assistants get the food for ya.

    BW's question didn't mention a need. Note:
"Why, with access to all of the great hospitality food all over the paddock, would these guys go to Taco Bell in the middle of the hood?"

Of course not. Nobody needs Taco Bell food.

Okay. Excellent. It's not the healthiest (or even that good tasting)

Guess what though? Millions want and have eaten at Taco Bell. Hey...Dixon and Franchitti are two of them. :)

Aren't choices great? And the freedom to make them? :)

edit; I forgot to include: We are, of course, all real people. My point was some people put others up on some kind of pedestal; and some people put themselves up on one. :)

All this bashing of Taco Bell.

Have any of you actually tried the Doritos Big Beef Potato Chalupa Bellgrande???

I didn't think so. It sells itself.
