We are selling our beautiful 1-owner 1998 Lamborghini Diablo SV. This car was purchased new from Lamborghini of Montreal (John Scotti Automotive). We acquired it in 2015 from the original owner. The car is in fantastic condition, everything is completely original. Red exterior with factory black SV decals, no repaints at all. The interior is black alcantara with red piping and red stitching. The car has factory radio delete. Service is all up to date, we just put brand new Pirelli tires on. Comes with books, tools, service records and factory car cover. It has 24400 km (~15200 miles ). No accidents, clean title, must been seen! This car is a real movie star!

For more information PM me or comment below. Car is located at our shop just outside of Ottawa, Canada.

    Asking 245,000$ USD

    Thanks

With one owner I'm sure you have all service records?
Is this a dealer listing or personal?

What is involved in importing this car to the US? How much of a headache could it be?

Yes we have all the service records.

And we are a small boutique dealer specializing in classic/exotic cars.

No headache at all! I should have mentioned in the original post that we can help with importation to the US and shipping. We've exported other exotics to the US without any problems.

Its fairly simple to import a car from Canada into the US for most models. Canada's crash and emission laws are the same. Canada just has a more strict bumper crash speed and metric gauges, day time running lights, as the only differences. But some models still come into Canada that are not EPA and DOT complying. Those can't be imported into the USA, unless they are 25 years old or older.

What you need is a letter from Lamborghini stating the car complies with DOT and EPA in the USA. With the letter just pay duty and taxes, etc. Easy as bringing in any other product.....

Correct, however Lambo wont right you a letter. The car MUST have the AFFIXED EPA sticker in the engine bay, which almost NO cars from Canada have.

Of course they won't - there's nothing in it for them other than potential liability right?

We've gotten a compliance letter before on a Lamborghini we imported into the US. We won't have a problem getting one again.

I know some makes and models can't be done until they are older then 25 years because they are considered CDN market only vehicles. And some like Lambo won't write the compliance letters on certain models.

Some of my fondest memories stem from behined the wheel of an SV. Such a magical car. Don't know why, but they just have that "something" you just can't ignore. Are you sure you want to sell?

Then why don't you just get the ball rolling and start working on one ahead of time?
You will either need it if you make a USA sale, or you won't if not a USA sale, but you'll still have it.
Either way it is a 'plus' to have it?

That is one sexy beast! Likely one of the last cars before they put the Nissan headlights and ugly (IMHO) swoopy dash in them. Love the SV graphics.

I have already gotten the ball rolling and put in the request. I wasn't anticipating so much interest on the car from Americans!

Why not? After all US market is the largest in the world for items such as this, think F-cars.

    Bump:

For any potential US customers, I spoke to my broker and got all the letters required for importation into the US. I don't know why so many think you can't import Canadian cars into the US, there's a lot of Canadian spec Lamborghini's there.
