I like the lace option! I've just started outfitting some of my tan/brown shoes with blue laces as I normally wear them with a blue suit.

And by the way fellas, change the way you lace your nicer shoes. Criss-cross lacing is so mundane; use straight bar lacing. It looks much cleaner and classy. If you don't know how to do it click here: https://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/straightbarlacing.htm

I noticed matching laces to my tie color also works pretty well.

I've worn a pair of Sanotoni driver leather penny loafers just about everyday for the last 10 years. They are EASILY the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. The stitching is holding together fine, although the leather is looking a little tired and the soles are probably 75% worn through. I think when its finally time to retire these, I will replace them with another pair.

Thanks. Just tried it. I will test it for the day to see how it feels. It was more difficult to pull the laces right across the rows, but it does look neater. It is actually quite logical after you try it. I will of course have 2 different lace styles today, but I can look like a muppet for a day.

Ps. This is my worn out emergency pair of AR Nueomoks. I keep them at work for when I am wearing motorcycle boots on the way in.

Once you figure out how to tighten them (cross your hands) it'll come instinctively to you and you'll never switch back to crossed laces.
And by the way, there is nothing wrong with a pair of worn Neumoks. I keep a set in my vehicle in case I get caught in a downpour and don't want to get my nice shoes wet.

If you didn't get the news.......Allen Edmonds is having a pretty good sale starting tomorrow. It looks like many styles will be $150 off.
    Have fun shopping!

Nice! Get some shoe trees. Should help with those creases and longevity.

Any opinions on single or double monk straps?

Thanks Randy, should have specified brands. I like them too.

I think I'm going to go back to Cole haan and get their single strap I tried on last weekend and get a pair of double from another company.

Wanted to see what other companies I haven't really considered.

If I'm not wearing AE's, I'm probably wearing Vans. Today's pair from Vans Vault, Vans X Horween. An odd color brown, but ill certainly age well.

You people are a bad influence. I just picked up some dark navy Neumoks. $100 off the regular price. It was my consumer duty...and shoes and watches define the man. (It will not be the hair for me)
