166MM no sale at $6.9 hammer bid. Le Mans Bentley, SWB & 166 should be close enough to negotiate post block sales.
Modern collectables are the only segment that seems to have remained unaffected although they are a little boom and bust since F40s struggled at Scottsdale and Paris. F50s, especially those in rare colors are doing just fine.

Very usefull app although some "no sale" are wrong. The 550 barchetta was noticed "sold for 550 usd plus commission" clearly on the RM site. BTW a record I think.... Ciao Oscar
Both cars had been not-so-quietly on the market for a very long time. The F40 was bought for roughly the amount of several previously declined offers; guess it finally sunk in. Strangely, the F50 brought significantly more than what others had already passed at. Could be a matter of the right eyes at the right time (or more likely, auction hype and ego bidding).
It looks as if only 2 cars brought the upper end of pre-auction estimates. The F50 and the 550. Most other cars fell short of the pre-auction minimums.
That was what I was telling, the app is red but on the RM site during the auction it did mention 'sell' for 550k (Sic) USD ex costs so 610k or so including costs. According to me a record for a 550 barchetta. Ciao Oscar
The rain they called for never really came. Wonder how many showed up not knowing the date had been changed.
