Does anyone here have photos of car #61 - Ferrari 550 GT - 1999 FFSA GT Championship ? Needed for my new book on the Ferrari 550 & 575s - road and race cars. Please pm me, or email [email protected] Thanks Nathan
Obviously a contact sheet from long ago. Are those French plates on the car? Image Unavailable, Please Login
brings back wonderful memories; I had TT 75 plaques on my 403 when I did graduate law studies in Paris in 1960-61.
Hi Cyril, this should be 0123S. I have one of these photos. The car does not have an Aerlux roof. Photos are taken at Paul Flandrack's Garage in 1954. Regards Boudewijn
Stupid me !! I didn't check and mixed in my mind with pic of 0085/S in Paris with plates "8402 TTA 75" !! Thanks Boudewijn !!
Link:A Preview Vignale Part 2: Coachbuilder to Ferrari Robert Pauley photo of chassis 0138A in its original configuration. Anyone have more photos of this car in its original form? I have seen the photos of 0138A at Elkhart Lake. A very striking automobile. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is a pic. BTW : on your link, the car given as 0065/S is in fact 0097/S... Image Unavailable, Please Login
#6023 hack to the paddock without his rear hood. 1966 Sorry no pictures....pay your subscriptions! Lol for what impossible to download something Who is the responsable? Rob? anyway your tapalak is a real @&%+*!
Dear David, But as is so common for those days, the photo is not of a 1955 500 Mondial. Please note the drivers windscreen is not faired to the cowl but resting on the cowl. That is a photo of a 1954 500 Mondial Series I, or a 1954 750 Monza. Best regards, Robert
The french cars in the background, the radio antenna on left fender and high blinkers make me wonder if this car couldn't be 3095GT ?? Of course, the third pic doesn't show the same car : it's a 250 GT Cabriolet PF S2 from Switzerland.
Here's a pic of David Clarke from the 60's or 70's: 4845, 0826, and 3869, I think. Image Unavailable, Please Login
These pix were taken at Sal DiNatale's shop, and show 0274M when owned by Bill Kidd. I note that the hood bulge is different from the original. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
As always, very cool pics, Mr. Niles. I especially love the first one showing the seemingly small single carb engine in the background. 166 perhaps ?
Hi, Like others have pointed out, at least two different cars, the 1st and 3rd photo look like the cars were brand spanking new. The 2nd photo shows a lady next to the car. But I guess the owner of the car who took the photo did not have a telephoto lens and zooms were not available on consumer cameras in those days. Not to even mention how long it sometimes took before you could "see" your photos, the prints. Nice pics. The plates might help local (Swiss) enthusiasts to find out more, unless they were just temporary tourist plates. Cheers, Pekka T. Fin.
Please forgive me for slight subject derailment, but I just noticed a rather unusual common denominators with three previous posts and this of course will add to it. Hyvää päivää, herrat ja terveisiä maailmalta. Toivoo, etu-Töölöössä syntynyt Stadin kundi.
Here is an old photo believed to have been taken in the late 1950's. Fortunately the registration plate can be seen clearly. If the car can be identified, and survives, then perhaps the current owner would love to see their car in its early life. Image Unavailable, Please Login
