I'm selling my 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo. It's a tiptronic gearbox, black interior/exterior, and currently has 49,890 miles. I bought this car bone stock in early 2010 with around 27k miles. It is a rocket-ship and has been rock-solid reliable. The only thing I've needed to fix was the upgrade to the 997tt ignition switch.

I added the following mods to the car after I bought it: (1) 997tt Turbo oem wheels (currently with nearly new tires) (2) Porsche GT2 oem wing and decklid (3) Europipe Stage 2 exhaust (I have stock exhaust as well and it comes with the car, but this Europipe is fantastic - read reviews) (4) Switzer tune (I have not dyno'd it but the car is likely making well north of 500hp and spools much faster than stock with the tune and exhaust) (5) Custom black with red Turbo floor mats. Also, the car has a clear bra installed.

I installed new Brembo rotors and Textar oem brake pads and new brake fluid last month. The last oil change was June of this year, and I put a new battery in around February of this year. The car needs nothing that I know of and is ready to go. The car comes with a spare 315/25/19 rear tire and I will also include a pair of billet diverter valves I never got around to installing, as well as the Softtronic Enthusiast version tuning cable that I used to load the Switzer Tune.

The price is pretty firm. As you can see in the photos, this is a beautifully modded, well kept 911. If it sells then I'll be looking to replace it with a manual Aston Martin in the spring (apparently because I want less power and less reliability!), otherwise I'll hang onto it for awhile longer. Prices on these car's are appreciating and I'm in no rush.

Any questions, please PM me. Thanks for your interest.

IMS isn't an issue on turbo engines.

After a bit of research I've learned something new this evening. Makes the 996 an even better deal!

Can confirm the Turbo doesn't have the IMS issue due to diff. engine, but neither do all of the regular 996's.

Source: 996 owner with 100,000+ miles, and gents at the Porsche club.

Gorgeous car, too bad it's not stick for me! GLWS! :)

Sorry about that guys, I'm asking $51,999 for the car. I copied the listing from the Porsche forums which had the price written else ware. It doesn't look like I can edit the original post anymore, so sorry about that. I'm not seeing a lot (well none) of 2002+ black 911 turbos with under 50k for sale out there, so I get this may be priced toward the higher side, but it's got some really nice mods and this is my 6th car and I'm still uncertain I really want to sell it. It's about snowmobile season here in Michigan so it won't see many miles until spring. I might lower the price in spring if it's not sold, but like I said, there is not much to choose from if someone is looking for a black 2002+ turbo with under 50k miles.

Jdubbya - its a Softronic cable. Reads "Durametric Software Inc - for use on Porsche. Durametric.com. The back of the cable reads "Enthusiast Version."

Also, Tbuff is right, there is no IMS issue with the Turbo Porsches.

These cars are absolute rocketships and bullet proof reliable. I've owned my 2003 (also a Tip) for 10 years.

The Tip tranny is poorly perceived as an automatic from those that haven't driven them - to say that the transmission is telepathic in anticipating your next move is an understatement (I recall reading that it functions in >250 possible modes, depending on driving conditions and parameters it monitors). Yes, I love my manuals, but for a DD, this is hands down the best transmission I've driven.

    GLWS - beautiful car!

I have this car in both Tip and Cabrio, so thats usually a double whammy from the guys over on Rennlist. I can confirm though that I lose nothing with the Tip, and that it is much maligned without GOOD reason. If you absolutely must row the gears yourself, so be it :). That's what my Ferrari is for.

GLWS - great looking car, love the upgrades.

Still driving the Porsche, just hit the 50,000 miles birthday (which is NOTHING on a 911!), so I'll drop the price to $46,999 for a spring sale!

Getting much more realistic for a Tiptronic car. GLWS! 996 Turbo's are great bang-for-buck these days.
