very nice gary.
So? There are no speakers behind those aluminium grills in your car (there for safe to say; no 512BB had speakers from factory) 512BBi is whole different story; all should have radio correct, equalizer, speakers and everyting.
It seems like only late built 1984 bbi comes with 7 band equalizer and the early built ones come with 5 band equalizer. Just a question, do all the bbi's come from the factory with silver painted grill on top of the front hood that matches the silver grill in the front bumper? (i.e. so if the grill on the front hood is black, does that mean it has been painted black after delivery or is black grill a factory option?) Is it easy to source the small tool kit (not the jack and hammer) if a bbi come without the small tool kit set?
I'm sure this has been answered earlier in the thread, but am I right in thinking that the rear clip design on a 365 GT4 BB changed to include the central vents when the header tank position was switched? Or was this a later addition?
I have a pair of red seat covers for my 84 BBI. Did these come with the car or were they after market?
Mid 83 the 7 band EQ came in. Nothing is year specific, more just constantly evolving with overlap in model years. This applies to most of the small running changes.
Can someone tell me if the Nardi steering wheel fits the late '83-'84 BBi cars? Or did they change the collar as well as the wheel? Thanks in advance.
Silver Nardi in 81, black nardi 82-83, black momo in 84. Momo adapter has a different bolt pattern than a Nardi
Yes because it was common to put an injected rear bumper on a carb'd car when undoing the DOT conversion. Might've been due to parts availability. The parts book would tell the story for sure but I haven't seen a boxer parts book that shows an injected bumper for a carb'd car. Only a handful of carb cars came with a single rear fog light mounted between the license plate and left tail lights and would have an F.Fog and R.Fog switch on the console. Being an 81 would be the only reason I would think it was possible to get that bumper because the 81 also has some interior details that not too long ago I thought was injected only. I would need to see an 81 parts book showing that bumper as an option otherwise I say its wrong.
Serial # could/should indicate whether it's in those last few carb cars that might have the incoming set-up. What was the final carb car Ser#?
Is the Nardi adapter still available? I remember Paul put a Nardi wheel on "the most beautiful 308" a few years ago.
Everything DOT including the steel in the doors was removed for the resto. Only a MPH speedo is left. JWW
Mr. NEwman why do old Ferraris with 8.8 or 9.2 compression (officially in the literature) need 98 Euro octane gas? Were they just playing safe at the factory? thanks JWW
