Get a factory HGTE exhaust it will do the job ...

Shahz- There is an HGTE specific exhaust system (~3500 pounds from Maranello Classic Parts, 70001493), but it is not titanium.

Taz, I took your advice and pulled the vacuum lines and capped them on my 612 (actually my Ferrari dealer did it for free as part of my annual servicing). It sounds MUCH better. Much more guttural. Also, great rasp when you shift. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

Taz, I really appreciate the advice!

Ron- Glad it worked out for you and much simpler than on the Maranellos, which are fail closed.

I personally hate the sound of my 599 with the valves closed. Each to their own but with the valves closed I think it sounds oh so disappointing

HGTE exhaust, Tubi straight pipes to replace the 2nd cats and a valve control remote system. That is what I have on my 599 and it gives plenty of the true V12 sound without being too invasive. Also keep in mind that the cabin of the 599 is rather well insulate and therefore the people outside the car always benefit more from the music vs any other Ferrari V8 where you practically sit in the engine bay!

Very true about being well insulated. When I open the windows it gets better but still not what I was hoping for from a V12 Ferrari

Fabspeed cat bypass pipes and remote controller for valves on order and I'll see how I go from there

Still can't get over how much I dislike the sound with valves closed

You just have to look at from how far away are people turning around to look at what is coming ... And in London, how many time you get stopped by the police ...
