34 308s including GT4s on ebay right now? That seems to be a bunch although they made a lot or is that about average?

Looks like TRX 390 metric wheels which were standard on an 85 Euro....16" were optional.

You are right i think. These are 15" TRX. Thought 16" was standard for a 1985 QV.

yes, all need work, but price reflects that. They have one really nice one, red 79 gts with super low miles priced around 67k.

    Good
I am looking for a car with work.
But of course you have "work" and "work".

Major thing; it should drive good. Not perfect but good. No ticking, blue smoke, leaks everywhere, slipping clutch, no brakes,.......
It is normal that the suspention rubbers are "loose" and some parts needs replacing.
    No problem.

Body, if original and not full with filler, not the biggest issue.

And most important , no accident history!!

Galileo, That low miles red '78 does look good. I doubt it is only 19k miles, has anyone checked the history?

Patrick, Unless you enjoy the work and are prepared to value your time, blood, sweat, and tears at $0/hour, then it's is better to pay a bit more and get a better 308. Changing clutch, belts and outer cam drive bearings are not too difficult and the engine stays in. Any smoke, low compression or bad noises/feedback from the drivetrain quickly adds up in time and parts costs. Unless you know the exhaust valves have been changed, plan for an engine out rebuild (or roll the dice :)

Frosted silver finish 390mm. I have my originals (pristine refinished) bagged in dark storage with an almost brand new set of Coker Michelin TRX tires, original center caps and valve stems.

My car is at the shop so I can't take a picture of the date, but here is a photo I have of when the car was pulled out of storage. Please excuse the filth...this was fresh out of 13 years of storage. This is the last 308 #59265

Thanks a lot pj911, it was not an urgent request for sure. Just to let owner knows about the date in case they are doing anything on the back of the wheel.
I would be very interested to learn about that, especially with yours that is the last. I remember having this talk on a thread about your car compare to the nevets308 car also a CH delivery.
By the way, what is your engine number ?

This seems a good deal if it is really under 5k km. Some red flags like "wrong ID plate", "running condition" and no photos of finished engine in place so I suspect there is some story there.

I apologize if this is the wrong forum. Long time watcher, first time poster.

(Let me know if wrong - I will delete)

This 82 308 has been on eBay I believe a couple times now, first selling just over $50K, then relisted with a BIN at $49K, then relisted with an opening bid at $42,500 with no takers yet.

My wife and I have been watching 308'd for better part of 2 years, and it would seem this would be a good purchase, but the world has been staying away from this one for some reason?

any ideas? Anyone know the car? Good/bad/Indifferent?

Again, my apologies if I'm posting out of turn,

    Thanks,

    Doogie

Doogie, They mention the rust but don't show it in any photos that's a red flag. Also google the chassis number and you find this: Ferraris Sold at Auction in 2014 It sold for $47k a couple of years ago and the tires are too old to use, the paintwork badly done, and likely to have far higher mileage. At this price it is fair but plan to spend some money at some point (preferably sooner if the original valves are still in there.)
