GTB is verde medio metallizzato. Incredible (and rare) if you're into other than red.

GTS was driven on Magnum P.I. by Tom Selleck.

The market is still strong and has flattened out, but a high % of these cars won't make minimum or right at plus many no sales. I saw very few estimates in list that weren't optimistic.

I believe that 1980 GTB is a European carb car - one of the last made - and it would be a dry sump as well if it is Euro spec -- huge difference in value between a US spec 2 valve injected 1980 GTB. Nevertheless, still strong estimates but I would think the car should still at least pull 150k

Yes it is a European car delivered first in Italy that stayed in Italy before being bought by last/ current owner. Carbs and dry sump, and all engine out serviced plus brakes etc before he took delivery, plus cosmetics. Perfect car if you are in rare colors, rumor says there were only 5 verde medio metalizzato made in period.
Just will be interesting how much people are willing to pay for that!

#08973 sold for $1.575 mil. net, approx. $1.73 million all in against 2.5 mil low estimate. Probably a case of high estimate but still a very low sale price.

If we are talking about #08973, the engine was replaced under factory warranty in period and it has been restored by Mototechnique and classiched. Nit picking or real concerns?

I wondered that but was waiting for Bonhams site to update to confirm, the auctioneer didn't say sold but the clapping and the lack of commentary either way didn't help. Will check and edit my post.

Yes it is. Everything at Bonhams has appeared to sell low (or not sell) when compared to estimates. My explanation is Bonhams estimates were high (remind me of 2014 prices) and I think most high bids are market correct for early 2017.

Yes he did. $10.65 million (11.715 all in) should be enough to buy an open headlight non comp. California, I would be surprised if a post block deal isn't completed. Huge premium for closed headlights but thats market value for ya.
