the 458 is "better" than the 250GTO but doesn't even cover the tax on the GTO purchase.
    "better" doesn't always cost more.

Great. This again. Over and over and over with this.

My Stradale sold for $260k with 7,990 miles

Here is a Scuderia for $229,900 with 6,348 miles.

Used 2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia for sale in Naples, FL | Black Horse Motors LLC

Fact: 99% of all Stradales are selling ABOVE their MSRP and 99% Scuderias are selling BELOW their MSRP

    Done.

Challenge64 - ur right - no point in killing brain cells over this again. Its like all scud owners have an insecurity. Like i said before - CS has a cult following and scuds have owners who adore them

wow....nice generalization you ****ing asshat. So do you know "all scud owners"? I'm going to say no because you sure as hell don't know me.

I don't give two flying ****s either way, scud or cs. I've had both and they both have their merits. One is more beautiful, one has better performance. We should all just count ourselves blessed to have either one or both instead of being whinny kids crying "my cars best", "no, my cars the best".

Do you know how many people there are in the world who would just love to have a meal today and some of you people cry about how popular your car is. Someone is going to die today fighting for your ability to remain safe and bicker about dumb **** so enjoy yourselves.

    Give me a ****ing break.

I don't know about insecurity but scud owners are obsessed about their cars for sure, including myself. I never owned a CS so I can't relate to your "cult" comment. However, I can tell you one thing with certainty; The scuderia is much more inferior "technologically" than the CS without sacrificing the thrilling driving experience.

Ferarri took a poll of f40 owners. more f40 owners own a CS than a scud. I'd say that's worthy of being called a cult.

Just to clarify our / my position. This is not about what car is "better" but it is solely a comment on price.

Lets play nice in the sand box or this thread gets locked out.

I have never seen another member change another members mind on this topic, so just state your opinion, nicely and move on.

I owned a new CS in 2004 and traded it in 2006, had regretted it ever since.
I owned a new Scuderia in 2008 and sold it 1.5 years later, regret nothing.
I currently own a new 458 Speciale and will not sell it.

I bought a 2,000 mile striped Scuderia Red CS 4 months ago for 330K and regret nothing. Yes its years behind the Scuderia in terms of performance and light years behind the Speicale but it triggers something amazing in the driving experience for me. Aesthetically it's simple lines are also timeless in design and beautiful in my opinion. The 430/Scuderia was a very aggressive change and one that I personally was simply not in love with, even to this day. That's just me and we are all different :)

Agreed. This seems like a pointless debate, like whose child is better, mine or yours.

Seems the majority of previous CS owners have sellers remorse. As for the scud, not so much... when I acquired mine, the owner basically begged me to sell it back within 1 week, offered more $$$ Who does that?? Things that make u go hmmmm

And there we go again. Dannyboy's desire to make fun of and insult anyone who doesn't agree with him.

Yes, he does deserve a hero biscuit! That's a serious investment in a very cool car that I am sure is just spectacular.

So the prices are frozen in time now ?

I wanted and was "this close" to several CSs just awhile ago.
Back in the 160 ish days.
Instead I bought a gun collection which was just as good of a financial investment and a hell of a lot of fun too.
And bought a 996 GT2 to heal the car guy wounds.
If I had to spend cash money today the Scud looks like a slam dunk.

For me, it's almost like saying you prefer a blonde or brunette? I love both in their own way, but if I "had" to marry one, I'd chose a brunette.. all personal preference
