Hi, I have a '74 GT4 with the standard rear seats, albeit in Crema leather and I'm considering installing the rear set delete option if it could be done without having to cannibalise the rear seats so that I could revert it back to original when required and also without costing too much. We're planning to take the car to Spain next summer, so the extra luggage space would be very useful. I've seen the pictures of the finished item, but does anyone have any pictures or details of what makes up the delete option that would help me recreate it? Thank you, Paul

Thank you. Yes, I've seen those pictures but I was hoping that maybe someone had some pictures is the "shelf" out of the car to help me replicate it. Paul
Nick, Thanks for the great illustration of the seat delete option... Was it common for the seat delete to leave rear seat belts intact, or is this something unusual?
I'm assuming that is another post-factory conversion as it doesn't have the leather straps. Thank you, Paul
Well spotted guys The car was montecarlo blue and the seat belts were added by a past owner for his kids!!
Hello I am a new owner and new member of this site. Had the car since December 15th. Any way I have a 308 that was made with front seats only option. I live in Leicestershire so if you would like to have a look contact me. Best Regards Chris.
Paul, I have toyed with the same idea for a while now. I collected a bunch of photos from various threads over the years, and here are a couple that might help. Rgds, Mark Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm only in Lutterworth, so it would be great to meet up some time. I've only had my GT4 since July 2015, so I'm also on a steep learning curve. Paul
The last photo is from my car which has the standard rear seat. It appears that the "seat delete" option is a fiberglass molding like the std. rear seat just a different shape. As a mold and patternmaker in an industrial FG business in an earlier life I would say that that part would be very easy to re-manufacture.
Mike, that was my impression too. I worked my way through school as a manufacturing engineer at a large boat company, and think some thin plywood and basic fiberglass is all it would take for the frame. Trim pieces and fit/finish are what will make the ultimate difference. I included your photo (thanks for posting whenever you did) as it gives some perspective on the side flanges that would mate to the existing side pieces.
Hey! That first pic is my car! LOL! I think it was reupholstered when new carpet was put in? I sure would like to find some of those slats for it too!
