(Denver) Ferrari Spotters!!!!

Guys I'm guessing the username "Derek of FoD" was "banned" when FoD dropped the sponsorship and then when Derek made a duplicate profile, that was "banned"" because duplicate profiles aren't allowed.

Maybe Derek should change his "D of FoD" back to the original one of just "DEREK" and all will be fine.

But I'm not sure how one can do that when one can't log in.

I feel like if it were that simple, it would've been resolved when he was messaging with Rob and his username could've been changed, but perhaps not.

He also said his "Derek at FoD" account was IP banned, not just the username itself.

I'm the admin on a smaller local car forum. We don't IP ban someone unless we don't want them coming back under any username. It seems if Rob Lay wanted to remove the Ferrari of Denver association, he would let Derek rejoin under a new name, or change his old username. Instead, he was given an IP ban and both usernames have been banned.

Daytona leaving Cherry Hills yesterday at 4:00 and yellow Countach being towed up I 70 at Lookout Mountain exit around 5:45 this evening.

 

There was a yellow Countach replica on Craigslist about a month or so ago. Could be the same one?

Agh good so you've warned him about these tires in cold weather. Was concerned it was someone young with a new toy out in the cold/Ice.

 

All - I spoke with Derek at the FoD XMas party/toy drive last week. FoD is now owned by Algar as most everyone knows and Algar made the decision to drop sponsorship for FChat - this was the cause for the first ban. Subsequently Derek and the FChat admin(s) agreed to come back on under the fenni_g username however the email address Derek used in his profile was the FoD address which resulted in the subsequent ban.

Not my fight and not taking sides and am sure Derek and the FChat admin(s) can/will work it out but Derek wanted everyone to know he misses being on here and apologizes for leaving anyone high and dry.

Interesting. I had Carbon reach out to Rob Lay, and Rob Lay told Carbon a different story.

Either way, I wish Derek was back. He was a great asset to the board.

 

Always two sides to a story - both Derek and Rob are good guys and I am sure will work it out at some point

 

It's either business or personal. The former is a lot cheaper, usually. If it's both, well I guess there's Skype.

 

I'm just curious but if you're so concerned about the situation, why not reach out to Rob directly and avoid any potential confusion with the middle school girl "I asked someone to ask someone" type of thing. That's the surest way for messages to get mixed and there be a he said - she said situation. Plus what Rob says to Carbon might not be in the same context of something he says to someone like you, giving you a much clearer understanding of the situation.

Haha for the amount of time I spend on the road around Cherry Creek and Denver I can't believe I've only seen your car once. At least 5 times I've seen you instagram and thought 'Ha I was literally just there.'

I know you like your street parking but if you need a spot quickly or something I do a lot of work in the 250/200 Columbine garage(across from Halcyon) and it's pretty exotic friendly. Decent size spaces and always possible to find a nice big corner spot, especially at night.
