    They should not in any way draw a parallel to the F1. It should be marketed as a new car. The F1 was above and beyond anything and in many ways, still is. That car should remain a legend and not be screwed up for a marketing gimmick.

    Well I think the parallel will be drawn by the court of public opinion simply by the virtue of it having 3 seats.

    Seems like McLaren is going to taking the passive aggressive approach to drawing a parallel. They are limiting the number to 106 (direct parallel) and calling it a Hyper GT (clear departure from F1)!

    A million dollars for a new car was unheard of when the f1 was released. Now Porsche mclaren and Ferrari can all sell hundreds of them and still have customers wanting more.
