    New Zealander Christopher Arthur 'Chris' Amon MBE, former Ferrari F1 racer and Le Mans winner, co-driver of Mario Andretti and Pedro Rodriguez, died in Rotorua, NZ on 3 August 2016, aged 73.

    Jackie Stewart called him "one of the most skillful and natural drivers ever to grace Formula One".
