I've just taken delivery of my new fuse boxes from forum member Samsaprunoff. They're really nicely made, one in black and the other in white as per original but take modern blade fuses.
They also accept the original covers and are keyed so that you can't put the wrong cover on the wrong panel.
I currently have the Birdman fuseboxes fitted, but the previous owner didn't do a very good job and I don't like the glass fuses.

OK, we need more information about these blade fuse boxes.

The model has been updated slightly for an acrylic version (it has small cutouts that match the original.) I was worried that the 3d printed version would be too brittle for the cutouts.

After I bought Birdman's Fuse Blocks and installed them, I made up the graphics for the circuits, made up a set of decals and fixed them to the Trim Cover. This is because Jonathan's Fuse Blocks do not have covers. With the glass fuses they did not need covers. I think they could be used for these covers. They may need to be adjusted in size, but I am sure that could be done very easily. If interested, let me know and I will attach / send a file here. Let me know, as I sent a copy to Jonathan already.

Hey Chris, awesome cover! Can they do it in a clear material like the original?

3d printed, no, there's no clear. There is a frosted acrylic that would be closest. I have white ones on my car with the original aluminum labels attached. If I did it again, I would print in black.

Having clear covers is of no real value over opaque covers because the labels prevent you from seeing the fuses in any case.

I've installed Sam's fuse boxes and fitted them with LED blade fuses, so that if one blows, it will be readily visible.

The white & black thing - what's that all about? I think my gt4 has both the same colour but I can't remember which.

Oh -- I hadn't noticed that. My originals are in a box in the garage :)

You are absolutely right. But by that same logic, having covers at all is of no real value. The covers were originally designed to prevent the OEM fuses (with exposed fusible links) from throwing molten lead around the interior. With glass fuses, the covers really have no purpose at all. The only reason people want them is for an OEM look. To get that look, the covers need to be clear.

Also, you have to take the interior trim panel off to see the clear covers...and I can't believe the hassle involved in taking the clear cover with labels off to check the fuses :)

I like the covers because it's nice to have the labels for reference.
And yes, it would be nice to see an OEM look, but oh well.

I have a Series I GT4 and it doesn't have a trim panel over the fuse boxes so the covers do provide valuable protection for the fuses and connections.

If it should have a trim panel covering the fuses, could someone post a picture please.

The white and black bases, I would assume, is because the buss work on the back of the units is not the same?
