What else is in your collection? Scud and speciale are different, but they are still both mid engine v8 ferraris

I haven't driven a Speciale, but if I had to guess, I would say that the biggest difference is going to be the transmissions. Scud has a single-clutch transmission while the Speciale has the double-clutch transmission. The single-clutch provides more "raw" shifts, more racecar. Regardless, wish I owned both.

Thanks! It was my ideal combo, RC with black alcantara, yellow tach and red stitching. Took a bit of patience to find the right car with the right options. Have to admit though, I still drool over white scuds.

I've had an Italia, Speciale, Special A and Scud. While I love my Scud, if I had to choose between it and the Speciale...hands down, I'd pick the Speciale. It's quicker, has faster shifts (not the slam that the Scud has) and is more planted in hard turns. I would add a remote valve opener to the Speciale because the exhaust note of the Scud is better in my humble opinion.

I have had three scuds, three 458, two speciales and a current 488. I am going back to Scud. 488 to smooth and too fast. You look down your going 125 MPH before you blink. IM GOING TO ARRESTED IN THIS CAR!! When I am in the Scud I feel like a F1 driver at any speed. Raw, Sound, shifting ground noise from no carpet. The Scud is the best value on the planet.

    Bye Bye 488!!

Anyone know where and if I can get an OEM 16M white tach for mine? I think that's my fave color now over default yellow/red.

I have the white tacho in mine. The white backing doesn't light up like the yellow. The numerals light up red. Pretty subdued in the night but lovely to look at during the day.

I don't think the OEM tach is sold as an individual part. You have to buy the whole instrument cluster.

It can be had ;) but I've reconsidered seeing that 430addict confirmed my suspicions that the white doesn't illuminate.

Interesting thred, I just made the opposite decision, sold my Scuderia and bought a 458 spider. Scuderia is an amazing car, love the lines, love the Superfast 2 gearbox, I absolutely loved that car, but my back no longer stand it....458 is another dimension.
Hope to be able to add a Scud in the near future only for occasional driving.

Stefano, you are the proof, a Scud is a hardcore machine, such a monster should only be driven by healthy men. ;)

Have fun with your beautiful Spider! You are allowed to ride in my Scud now and then, but only on the passenger seat...

"The eagle has landed" (as you can see visually inspired by the Scuderia), the first rides are made, a new, very big love is growing up. The 650S represents a completely different world, pure high-tech, very agile, super strong and super fast.

...and the 650S shows to me in a direct comparison how unique the Scuderia is, how much emotion the Scud can generate with its own characteristics, an absolute masterpiece.

I'm so happy to own both.

    Wouldn't a 458 be a better choice than the 650s?

I will probably change the Scud to a 458 next summer, so we can just trade them :D

redcaruser, nice pair. I traded an '08 Scud for a 650S, then traded that for an '09 Scud. Both amazing experiences in their own right. I came back to a Scud with my investor hat on though, if i'm honest.

Also, nice MSO diffuser on the 650S. I had one in mine and transforms the look of the rear of the car.

Congrats! Love the combo. Even though the scud is now almost a 10 year old design, it still doesn't look out of place next to a brand new 650s
