I was wondering which Ferrari makes the sweetest sound. Personally, I believe it is the F12Berlinetta, but I want some of your inputs. In terms of revving, the LaFerrari ranks first for best sounding rev, followed by the Enzo, followed by the F12.

I also realized that several 4 seat Ferraris such as the FF and GTC4Lusso sound similar to the F12, but despite sharing a mechanically similar engine, why do the four seaters make a slightly uglier noise?

A 275 screaming in the high revs does it for me.

Have to agree with Steve, 355 with no cats and an obnoxious "muffler". Shriek/snap/crackle/pop/repeat:) if we are talking 333 or any of the competition cars, the 3.0 V-10 (F1) was about the loudest engine I have ever heard, this includes top-fuel...the sound was accurately described to me as "a hot fork stuck in your ear drum"....Ferrari was the most "complete/perfect" sound, my group of friends and I thought the Renault was a close second...strangest was Mugen Honda. I miss that era.

+1. The car (all three of them!) I immediately thought of when reading the thread title.

But if it is stock, street-legal cars only, 355.

There is a guy in stockholm with a 275GTB. He has an exhaust system with no mufflers. Fantastic sound.

355 with an aftermarket exhaust is pretty darn nice.

The 458 at nine grand will make your hair stand on end.

Any 12 cylinder car from the 60s is very special.

But there is nothing that sounds like a Dino. I have no idea why the Dino sound is so unique but if you hear one, you know exactly what it is without seeing it.

apparently none of you have heard a 360cs in race mode at over 4000 rpm.....in a tunnel.

the cars ride on a train through the chunnel.....;)
and the mt blanc tunnel is speed limited and so long you choke on the exhaust fumes if you open the window.

so the best tunnels are max a km or so.

its particularly fun to enter a tunnel and blip the throttle and then watch all the cars ahead of you move over to the right ..... ;)

btw, the cs was homologated by mistake....they failed to tell the testers that the exhaust opened up when the race button was pressed. they told them about the suspension and the transmission but not the glorious noise !
