Glad to see you back on line BullFighter! Thoughts and Prayers as you continue to recover. Stay Strong!! Bill P.
Jon, we don't know each other but I'm a Porsche / 356 guy, also an alum of Deloitte (actually Touche Ross from the olden days). Just happened to check in to this thread, still think about you and always wishing for the best out of this tragedy and for your recovery and painfully heartbroken for what you have gone through. Glad to see you are "back" and always praying for your full recovery. Stay strong and keep fighting, man, we've all got your back.
I just read Jon's post....again.... and felt the same rush of happiness I had the first time. Rob - You should make the "Fighter" part of his S/N bold. So damn inspiring. Stay strong. Dave
Back home last month with extensive help from a home care agency. Mostly getting driven to therapy and doctor appointments for guesses and clichés, using a walker to get around the house and wheelchair for longer trips. It's good to get outside. I now read every article on self-driving cars, sad to say. Again, appreciate all the good thoughts here.
Welcome back Jon. Everyone is praying for your continued recovery! Sorry I hadn't seen this thread earlier. Sent by itsy bitsy electrons
Well you can still turn a phrase. Spoken like someone who is way too familiar with this scene. The rapidly developing world of self driving cars is fascinating. I am thinking that they will open opportunities that can't even be imagined. One day someone will take the keys from me and it won't be the end of my mobility. Brave new world. I'm glad to hear that you are dealing with all of this in an intelligent and learning manner. You are a class act. david
Good to read something from you again Jon ! Please forgive me my rudeness (not shure this word covers what I want to say/make clear, English is still a foreign language for me), but "just" fix your mind on sitting in a bucket seat of a (n Italian) car, your feet on the pedals, hands on the steering wheel. That is, when not shifting gears. See the rev counter climbing, hear the roar of the engine. Burn this picture in your mind. Believe in it. Of course I don't know your precise state of health (if any one/doctor knows it in the first place), but it has been achieved by others. So why not with you ?? Your forum name, and the description of you given by some members tell me you've got a way better-than-average chance !! All the best on the path of recovery. It may be bumpy , or "uphill" some times. Push on. Something tells me you can do it.
Hey Jon, it's so fantastic to have you back. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we were horrified about the accident. Everyone was pulling for you. Get better! Jonathan
Jon welcome back. So happy to hear you are home again, going outdoors and on the mend. You are the fighter. Be well Sean
I'm very very happy to learn you are back at home. Hope you improve quickly and stay with us to talk about cars: Talking about nice things helps a lot to forget problems. Ciao
Awesome news on our progress Jon. I think you should reach out to Google, Tesla etc etc. and offer to help them design and test self driving cars. By the way, i still have your proof copy of your book that you gave me about 10 years ago.
