Has anyone ever considered doing a cut and shut and taking the additional 18 inches out of the wheelbase and back seats out.
Would be an interesting project and would surely attract 328 values then

I agree it would be an interesting project, but in my humble opinion - I think it would deflate the value. If one were to do it, they need to approach for personal satisfaction.

    Interesting thought.

    Be well.

Ummm... well, I had the same idea some time ago and I´d like to see how it would look, but it wouldn´t make any sense from a financial point of view.

Anyway, if someone does it, I hope they use a crashed car. It would be a pity to chop a good car just for fun.

If you want a shorter Mondial, buy a 3x8.

But, I've been intrigued by the Mondial lines to build a proper 4 door gt.
Now and than some renderings from photoshop artists appear on F chat, and frankly, I like it a lot.

But.... In order to do so, you need 2 Mondials that you cut up. 1good one and a car for the doors, pillars, roofsection and and and....
    Probably a moneypit... :(

The Mondial's wheelbase (104") is what makes it handle so well. The 360-F430 are at 102", and the 458 is 104" as well.

For a radical transformation, I'd love to see a wider t Coupe with a F430 drivetrain.

Always thought about a 3 seater ala Mclaren F1.

while we are at it how about a stretch limo mondial? just kidding.

I do think the car would have looked better if it were wider and flatter. I say that because my screen was off recently and I looked at a photo of a mondial that was distorted to make it wider and flatter, and it looked much more aggressive.

    Remarkably well received.
Apologies I was just trolling for a bit of fun.
May go on the 365gt4 forum now and ask about converting to a gtb

Mondial owners are open to diversity. It is a "world" car, you know. ;)

I did some photoshop fun, I will argue it was designed to be long...the shortened version and you really get a Fiero.

I have to say I wouldn't want to do this to a Mondial

I believe the 348 Spider introduction, was actually part of Ferrari's logic in discontinuing the Mondial.

Hmm. Better than a Panamera for sure.
And the rear treatment is less hauncy than a Rapide or a Quattroporte.....
