Where are your numbers from? I pulled this from another board- Subaru WRX STi: ~120 GT350: ~142mph F-TypeR: ~146mph Hellcat ~147mph Audi R8 V10: ~148mph Huracan: ~150mph Viper ACR: ~150mph C7 Z06: ~150mph Ferrari F12: ~163mph McLaren650s: ~166mph Veyron: ~172mph Porsche 918: ~172mph McLaren P1: ~173mph
Maybe until the bozo Ferrari owner peals out of the cars and coffee parking lot only to smash his shiny Ferrari into the curb.
04G, I'm surprised your parents allow you to smoke in the house, even it is in your basement bedroom 😀 Sent by itsy bitsy electrons
That's probably a much more likely scenario with a Mustang or Corvette Owner who decides to turn the traction control off and go sideways... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lJILEMQqO4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y0RpIlB-sg
When I do burnouts after C+C, I personally only run over people with a net worth of over $1500. If my hood gets dented by somebody with an iPhone.. it better be a worthwhile dent and my burnout video better be recorded on AT LEAST an iPhone 6s or 7 in landscape mode. Fliphone recordings are for Mustangs.
I am getting my numbers from actual events i visited/ran not secondhand copy/pasta. The numbers you posted are off. You can find a few past shifter-sector number spreadsheets online. I think i fkded up and posted this in the old timer section of the board i probably should have went to F12 or 488 section. It doesnt look like most of you old crusts have been outside of your garage let alone ran your car in a timed event.
And there you have it. A virtual admittance that he is a kid and any exotic in his home belongs to his father. Thank you
I think this argument may have some legs... drag racing a Ferrari or any other exotic is not exactly what they were made for... but assuming that you do a 1/2 mile or 1/4 mile race I would think that you will from time to time see any number of cars being faster or slower. I think the only way to have a real objective decision is to have the same drivers drive all the cars in a drag race. I don't know if a magazine has done this or not. regardless I don't think 1/2 mile speeds really mean anything any more. when you can go from 0-60 in 3 sec... or 0-100 in 6 sec... that is what people like. or Ultimate lap time at the Nurburgring or V max top speed at nardo or Ehera Lessien in Germany where you can open the car up to full potential. my question to the Op would be did each racer have their car in similar modes ... race vs. sport - low drag vs. normal etc... so there a huge variables ...and not to mention just the wear and tear on your own car. Not to mention driver ability. just because you can buy the car does not mean you can get the full potential out of it. I've done a couple of performance starts with launch control... while its impressive - It just makes me think of the cost of damage being done to the car... MY own personal car! and in the end... if my car can only do 155Mph at the end of 1/2 mile 1/4 mile or what ever ... who really cares...its still a Ferrari, and you are part of a great group of like minded people.
In the span of 4 pages you guys have managed to bash Mustangs, Corvettes, Teslas, GTRs, Lambos, and everything else thats not a Ferrari. car enthusiasts my ass ;/
For the 20th time what does me owning any car has to do with the topic of the thread? Why does it matter one way or the other? Because someone own a Ferrari or an exotic in your eyes he has credibility all of the sudden? I think you guys are being very childish and pretentious by trying to rate and discount people by what cars they own. The whole threads keeps getting derailed by this nonsense. Fine, who wants to take a $500 wager? We both PayPal the $$ to a 3rd party and then i post proof of my cars and the winner takes the whole $1000 pot. Who is up? Ill bet another $500 that I actually won some of these imaginary events I am talking about. You want pictures of my imaginary trophy on top of my imaginary class winning car? Who is ready to put $500 down?
I would need to see pics of your driver's license and corresponding state registrations and/or titles of the vehicles you claim to own.
Your horrible writing notwithstanding, there is little value in your entire premise. Frankly, you are a boor. I could not possibly care less whether you have three exotics, ten exotics or no exotics. You're a boor and intellectually insulting. It is time to just let it go! Should you be able to afford multiple cars, you can also afford either Silver or Rosso. Otherwise, TTFN.
The original posters numbers are from the last event. I know many of the drivers who participated in the last event. Although some of the numbers you posted here are correct but with some stories behind it. The numbers that the OP presented are correct since I talked to many of those drivers. Huracan - there was a run with 150 mph (driver hit rev limiter). It typically ran 160 MPH Ferrari F12 - I did about six runs 156 to 158 was five of those runs. One of the runs was 163 MPH (I thought it was an anamoly and wasn't sure what to make of it as it wasn't typical of the other runs). Veyron and porsche 918 consistently ran 172 MPH. I was in the P1 and the lowest I did was 173 (first run when I didn't know what I was doing. Tire pressures weren't correct and all the alarms started going off on the car and it stopped accelerating). Once I figured out how to go about it I ran a high of 179 mph The mclaren 650 you posted in these numbers is a tuned 650. The stock 650's ran at 160 to 162 mph. The F type and Viper ACR numbers were representative of their actual runs. Other cars I don't know.
Enjoying your trolling? I've built and owned 1000+hp turbo cars. I have more fun in my ancient slow F355. And yes, I've ran it down the strip and even left a car show without crashing. Who cares? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4LG-aDRbg4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nvSdJj0eqs
a point has been made, about being slow, reality is the brand has been struggling for years in F1, no great sweeping results as in former years on the tracks of the world, the brand has delivered very nice capable cars to enjoy, without the bragging rights that competition ( as the historic record by the 250GTO ) only can bring... the brand could use some current "icing" for the Ferrari cake to carry the brand forward
04g - You assume everyone cares about what you care about. I have the means to buy any car I want. I test drove many cars. At no point was 1/4 or 1/2 speed a requirement for which car to buy. You seem to think you found this massive hole, that no one can see but you. Ferraris is not as fast as P1 or 650s - wow. Now you extend that and assume everyone should be upset or disappointed that they purchased a Ferrari, even though speed in 1/4 or 1/2 is not even considered in the purchase. Now why does everyone laugh at you? Why does everyone want to know if you actually own all these cars you claim to own? Because if you truly own the cars, you went through the same buying decision and select your cars for a reason. I don't believe you own the 3 cars you claim. If you prove it I will give $500 to a charity here in MN. When are you selling all your cars and buying a Tesla?
That's quite the challenge. So who's ready to put up so we can move beyond the "kid in his mums basement looking for attention"? The OP may be coming across as abrasive but seems confident enough to back his claims up. Besides ownership and racing experience, which may be verified, all other criticisms are attacks on his character which I find quite immature. I would suggest the OP PM evidence (DL, registration etc) to an impartial member here that can be trusted to verify AND NOT publish the OPs personal information. Once that's settled, bash him all you want for being a liar or give him some credit for the claims/opinions he has on the original topic.
