Salam, As always thanx for your kind words of encouragement. When you look at the job that Amir and his son pulled off despite all the limitations we have here, it was a job of a huge magnitude. Here are a couple of pictures to show what he started with. Here she is waiting patiently for her restoration. Very Mokhless Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login

Are there any/many F-cars in Iran now? It seems many other types of groups/clubs and not so much f-car centric
Hi, This picture is from a face book site called the Historical cars of Iran. The picture shows the two cars arriving in Europe after apparently driven straight out of Iran. Many cars received temporary transit plates from the local touring club, never to return. We know of two Gullwings. The first is still in Iran, the second is apparently in Australia after being bequeathed to the Shah's English doctor. This is the Gullwing which is in Iran and a 300sl which was in Saad Abad Palace. The 300 sl was apparently brought back by Princess Ashraf from Monaco before being given as a present to the former crown prince. Apparently he proceeded to put Momo steering wheel on it to make it more 'sporty'. The innocence of youth. The picture is from one of our past classic cars shows. Hi, One of the reasons I put this threadt is that we have a car community that keeps their cars running in circumstances that would sometimes deter others. If you think you can show just what a great and vibrant community we have, all the more to you. Just one request. In some of the pics I have named the photographer. It would be freat if they could get recognition for their pictures. Many Thanx, Ramin
Hi, Here is a preview of the next posts. This was the latest show we just had. More pics and details to follow. Best Wishes Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, On 14 to 18, February 2017 we held the Iran Classica 25, meaning it was our 25th show since the Classic Vehicle Committee of the Motorcycle and Automobile Federation of Iran (MAFIRI) was founded in 1996. The show was held concomitant with the first Auto Show in Tehran to be held in eleven years. As we held the show concomitant with the Auto Show, instead of our usual Concours Type shows, we decided to also incorporate practical classics to show that entry into the hobby did not mean high figure cars. So while we had Porsche 356, Shelby et al we also had an immaculately restored e12 BMW, an all original Renault 5 etc. Here is another shot of the 190 SL. Hi, These two Mercs traveled over 11,000 KM round trip from Tehran to Berlin and back in 2011 for the 125 year anniversary of Mercedes. The fact that they only needed gasoline and the regular oil change is a testament. Regards, Ramin Image Unavailable, Please Login
