$ 105.000 hammer price Not a very good result. For sale at $175k - $195k few month ago ! But I don't ever seen with my own eyes Will see what the GTS do .....
Wow, well bought! It's still hard to find a 328 GTB with similar miles for less than around $150,000. 328 GTB at auction have typically sold for less than the market asking price, a lot less. So the lesson is, if anyone is looking for a 328 GTB and finds one that is going up for auction, they should consider going that route. -F
Great, eventually this bubble will burst and have many exotics much more affordable. I'll never forget the last one after Enzo's passing.
T177 was a 88 328 with the branded title on the carfax 1/11/96 for not actual mileage tile issued did 55k Cars with stories bring a ton less $. Mileage/accidents etc. A 30,000 mile AVERAGE car should bring much more than $ 55,000.
I do remember a GTB 328 selling for over 200k possibly at an auction, can't remember. This was about a year and half ago or so. If the prices lower I am going to add to the garage. It would appear that the number of cars that came up for sale in this last year has put a damper on the rise in prices. How many GTB's are on the market in the last six months? My guess 4? Supply and demand would seem to argue against the GTS opposed to the GTB prices, however on this weekend the buyer wanted open top cars perhaps.
This was my first Ferrari, but it back prior to the 348 hitting the market. It had real original blue leather on dash and door handles with tan interior. I later sold it to my brother, it the recent pics his signature can be seen in the books. He sold it white as it originally came from the factory, why was it repainted red, who knows. The car was mint when we sold it. Now it's offered here in florida, just beware it's not as the dealer claims. Image Unavailable, Please Login
F 103 was a 89 328 gtsi with 2,000 miles that brought $190,000. I watched it on the computer get sold to a phone bidder when it ran. The final bid was the 190k so that would not include the fee of 10%.
i was at the auction and chatted with the owner. very nice example with only two minor cosmetic issues. only 'story' on this car was that 'one owner' meant titled only to first owner. car was sold to a dealer and then to current owner who was flipping it but hadn't had it titled. reserve was higher but bidding petered out around 180k so he dropped reserve at 190k. Figured you'll all might be chatting about our 2k mile 328 GTS at Mecum. I bought the car from a dealer I've known for 29 years in Illinois. I felt it was worth more than I paid him and consigned it along with 5 other cars for the Monterey event. I've been selling with Mecum since their first auction in the late 80s. We were fortunate to sell 5 out of 6 cars. 1989 328 GTS Auction was kind enough to net us $200k which was basically a break even for us. Great cars are never cheap and cheap cars are never great! 1988 M6 BMW coupe with 25k miles, sold for $90k hammer. 2002 Bentley Continental R Le Mans Coupe with 12k, sold for $90k hammer. 1990 Lola Race car (Al Under Jr. car) I sold for a friend at $82k 1994 Dodge Viper RT/10 yellow with 445 miles, hammered for $45k. Lost $5k on that one after expenses! In all, a great event for us.
Follow up, The phone bidder actually showed up on Saturday to see his purchase. Of course, he is from South Florida. I hate that! I ship the car all the way to Monterey just to sell it to a collector from my home state. He has many very low mileage cars and actually tied to purchase the car from Isringhausen before I bought it. Very nice guy. We are a licensed Florida dealer and have been so for the past 24 years. The prior 5 years in Iowa.
Found these on craigslist in Dallas. Second one is not all together a Ferrari. What some people will do. https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/5749735649.html https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/5767357618.html
