But if they were to wash it, it would likely be mistaken for just other ratty, neglected GTC. By carefully preserving that layer of dirt, they've made it easy for the rest of us to correctly identify it as the "Thrilling, Recent Garage Find" that it truly is. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Since my pics can't come close to Wayne's, here is a pic I took at the award winners party for all of the award winners from the concours on the avenue. What a great show! Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thanks for the pics Wayne and Marcel. Some stunners. This is one of the most beautiful cars ever to my eyes. I know it's not the original body, but the very short overhangs and extreme cabin-to-the-rear look soooo good.

Hi Wayne, Thanks for sharing these pictures and Thanks to Marcel too of course! Do you know which country these plates are from? It seems there's a logo on the plate with five pointed star in between two leaf branches. I've seen that kind before, but sofar haven't been able to put a country to it. TIA. Best, Peter
Peter, these are replica period Italian plates for the province of Napoli. The first owner of this car was Giuseppe Chiusolo of Napoli, and so I assume someone with access to Italian ACI/PRA documents has confirmed this as the original registration number for this car. Elsewhere, Milano registration number "MI B84184" is reported to be the first number assigned to 3359 GT, but I think this was more likely the last Italian regstration number the vehicle wore as it left Italy for the UK in 1973. After all, this car lived in Milano before going to Tom Meade. I think the Milano plates simply stayed with the car for some time after that. Gooding's auction description states: "The SWB passed through the ownership of Dr. Terry Clark of Clemson, South Carolina, with the car retaining the original Italian-issued "MI B 84184" license plate." In any case, I've never seen the ACI/PRA documents myself and so I'm sure Marcel can address the Italian registration history of 3359 GT with more authority. Pleased to confirm that the first and original Napoli plates for 3359 GT were issued 27 April 1962. The ones on the car today, while at Gooding's, are replica/reproductions plates. Marcel Massini
The little tag with the name "Rissi" shows the name of the original/first private owner of this one-off Daytona show car. Car has never been restored and is very genuine. Marcel Massini
Marcel, Wayne- Thanks. Next best thing to being there. Last time for me was 1985 when Ferrari was the featured marque.
