Official 308 GT4 Market Thread

I have my 308 Gt4 for sale at a Car place in Florida. It was serviced by the world famous Patrick Ottis in California for years. Tons of records going back to when it came in to the US in 1980. All books, tools, original muffler, trunk. A 1977.
But I don't know if I can tell you where it is for sale, as it is on consignment so I do have a stake in telling you go see "so and so".

PM if you need to know. I don't want to mess up the rules on stuff for sale. They will be running ads in all the regular places. But I don't know if the will run it here.

The BAT car (in Hawaii) failed to make reserve at around $22K. A driver needing cosmetics but still, this result belies the theory that these cars are red hot. (Well it was black maybe that was the problem!)

 

Hawaii is an exceptional case. In addition to shipping costs, examination and inspections are difficult. Otherwise know as a pig in a poke.

 

Hey, I'll take a black one any day over a red one (maybe cause I have a black one)!

 

It is also not a 75 and harder to smog in CA, its nearest home....

 

I've driven and seen this car (inside, underneath) and it is in good shape. I nearly bought it before I found my carbed 308. US$42k is very good value. No interest except gratitude (he has lent me his sleeve puller)

1975 Dino 308 GT4 - California Car Since New

just came across this while browsing CL in LA. Looks like a good option for those in the market.... I like silver on red on a gt4.

Sold on eBay in August 2014 for $27K. Was listed in Florida at that time, with the same 54K miles.

 

originally a GA car, said to have been taken in part exchange and put under wraps, has not moved for two years or so. original USA bumpers not with the car.

 

Seems like a bad sign that BHCC is still sitting in this car after a year. Of course they are asking way too much. For some reason now the add says the crankshaft is missing but the engine is sitting in the car, or an engine is in the car. From what I remember when I talked to the owner the lower end of the engine was rebuild but sitting for 20+ years. I'm not sure I would even give BHCC the $10k they paid for it now that they have probably mixed up the engine and I'm sure sold off the tools, jack, owners pouch and threw away any papers. Even at free I think you would have more in it than it's worth.

Guys - speaking of BHCC they now have 10770 for sale - I've been looking for a SoCal GT4 - this looks promising - anyone have any history on 10770?

I thought it looked familiar. I was thinking about this one when it was for sale in Miami in 2013. it sold just before I called on it, after being on the market for a long time. I think it was priced kind of high at the time. Now at BHCC it seems underpriced and looks much better than most of the cars they get in. worth a look for sure.

 

I would be careful buying anything from them.
