In driving 458 Speciale, 458 Spider and 16 Cali T, seems like the Cali T has more exhaust pops...anyone else experience this? Loud pops too!

The engine sound of the 458 is WAY better though. More natural, more F1 (of the past). The Cali T is more synthesized and the pops are kind of gimicky in my opinion, kind of like a Jag F Type. They are fun to hear though.

Any way to bring it back to the 458? My Speciale has virtually none...it just sounds fun in tunnels especially 😜

The only way to make the 458 crackle and pop, is to get a tuner to modify your ECU. Ferrari can't do it for you, especially not with a Speciale as they were never there.

Fwiw I have driven the Cali T extensively, sounds whiny and listless like the 488; couldn't wait to
give it back to the dealer..

    best

New ECU updates removed all 'popping' in the Italia post 2012, 2010-2011 none updated cars still have it.

Correct, the udpated 2010's and early 2011's do not have the popping
anymore, however there a few out there that have not been updated and
    still do

Nice! You'll be surprised how good the HS package is. Haven't driven the Lusso yet. Come down for a ride! We are all in the LA area

IMO, Cali T is one the worst sounding Ferrari ever made.

We upgraded our Cali T with Novitec suspension and it seemed to help a good bit once we got her sitting where we wanted it. The exhaust upgrade was definitely necessary as well, nothing overwhelming but carries a great tone and of course the nice "cracks" while shifting. The tune is really where we saw the most difference in the driving experience. Over 100whp throughout the power band was picked up, as well as the torque.

I will make sure I also post some pictures from Monterey :)
